We were early (around 10am) and were able to check in as a room was available. So flexible ! The room was spacious and clean, although carpet looks a bit old (just keep your slippers on), the bathroom was bright, big and clean; there was a separate shower and bathtub. The location was very good, just a skip and a hop from the subway station and many eateries around. We could walk all the way to a big mall via the subway so that was very convenient and allowed us to avoid the sun. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The reception staff was efficient but not very friendly. The breakfast (¥48) was so-so only. Not really value for money as we were able to get a much better breakfast elsewhere the next morning for a fraction of the cost.

Even though it was a non-smoker room, the tobacco smell was always present, apparently coming through bathroom ventilation (from the other rooms). Very unpleasant for non-smokers. The staff did not speak English, some of them not a single word -- although they were all kind, friendly, and willing to help. On the last day, we had the luck to have a young lady speaking very well, and she arranged for us (obligatory) online booking for Humble Administrator's Garden (must see, a real wonder).

Breakfast was not included on Booking reservations.... Very nice room and convenient location, subway station nearby+restaurant+nice pedestrian area.

Staff was not friendly, too serious and cold, not smily, not welcoming (despite I can speak Chinese fluently, so it is nothing about communication problems). They definitely need some training.

I had a twin room to myself for a very reasonable price. Spacious room with large bathroom including bathtub. Nice view to the west from window. All toiletries provided. Comfortable bed, air conditioning, etc. Very convenient location, next to subway station as well as 西塘街.

Perfect location: subway station just around the corner; 5 minutes walk to the magnificient old town; Plenty of stores and restaurants nearby!

The hotel seems to be quite old, the carpets are full of stains. Bathroom was very clean though!
