This is a beautiful inn, there is amazing dining and breakfast, the rooms are wonderfully comfortable. The bed is soft and the shower is great. For people used to air conditioning it is heaven. Lots of hotels here do not have it. The location is wonderful. It is in the nice, old part of town and it is very easy to get to the interstate. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating.

The single change I would have made to suit my 6 year old child's very particular needs would have been a more current television with a USB port so we could have plugged in his Roku. On the other hand the,wifi worked fine and he had an iPad and the cable suited me just fine!

The Idlewyld Inn & Spa is certainly a very beautiful place to stay. It is in a terrific location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner there April 30/24, and stayed overnight. Our Server was Katherine, and she was superb. So were our meals, and our room! The next morning we had a great breakfast. Michelle and Melissa made us feel very comfortable. After checking out, we went to an amazing show at The Grand Theatre, which IS only 2km away.

There is nothing we didn't like! The building and its history are remarkable too!

An excellent buffet breakfast was included in the room rate. Attentive staff topped up coffee and orange juice and the selection of foods was very good, with excellent quality. The house is beautiful and the grounds/flowers well maintained and attractive. After dinner drinks on the patio were lovely. Good internet.

Our room was a bit noisy - near the ice maker and we could hear water running in other rooms (likely during showers, etc). Not sure this can be corrected in an older building and it was not a big problem.

The staff was great, especially, Sue who was there for our breakfast. She gave us a lot of good information on what to do while we were in town. She also sympathized with me when I thought I had lost a diamond from my necklace. We did find it. Whew!

Everything was wonderful, really. The king bed was pretty hard, though. That's all.

-Beautiful old building with a lot of character. -Spacious, tastefully decorated room and large, recently updated bathroom. -Gilchrist and Soames toiletries in bathroom. -Fridge in room. -Beautiful dining room with interesting menu. -Complimentary breakfast, which included a decent mix of hot and cold items. -Pleasant staff.

-Heritage building so pipes and air conditioning are a bit noisy but not so much that it was a problem. -Enormous door key that was inconvenient to carry around. -Parking lot is very tight.

We stayed at the Idyllwild Inn for one evening while passing through Central Ontario. We very much enjoyed the history of the building and appreciated the efforts to restore it to his former grandeur. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the accommodations were quite nice. It was very convenient to have a fine restaurant in the building along with breakfast being provided as part of the overnight room rate. This inn is located in very reasonable proximity to some of the quaint and upcoming areas of downtown London in addition to being in proximity to several of the historic sites that we visited on the day that we departed. I would like to commend the front desk staff for addressing a concern that I had in a very forthright and respectful manner. We would recommend the Idlewild Inn to our friends and family and will return if we are back in the London area in the future.

Due to a mechanical problem with the room on an upper floor that we were originally supposed to occupy, we were placed in one of the only two rooms on the first floor of the Inn. Unfortunately, the first floor is very noisy in the evening due to the proximity of the rooms to the front desk and the restaurant. If at all possible, we recommend that you avoid the rooms on the first floor due to the high likelihood of noise during the late evening hours.

The facility is beautiful. The staff were kind. I really liked my room. It is nice and quiet. The spa prices are very reasonable.

It is a bit of a walk to downtown, lack of green space (grounds are not as large as they appear in pics) and it is in a residential district. Also, breakfast could have more of a selection.

A totally delightful stay - memorable and happy. Every aspect was perfect, assistance from the staff, a warm feeling of being a valued guest, the happy vibe of other guests clearly enjoying their stay. Restful and energizing. Used both the spa and dining room and was equally impressed. Great location for walking and exploring London.Highly recommended.

Starting with the STAFF: we found them extremely helpful and friendly; this made for a great start. The FACILITIES were unique, and reminded us of some of our stays in Britain. BREAKFAST was great, with attentive waiters. This will definitely be our "go-to" place when we visit London again.

The interior furniture are good, and the entire atmosphere is also excellent! Staffs are also friendly!

The hair dryer and the television were looks very old type, but I was OK to use it without any defects.
