Everything about our stay at Splendido Bay was perfect! The hotel and the grounds were beautiful, and the view of the lake was stunning! We didn't eat dinner here at all, but the breakfast was lovely every day. My husband wanted to make sure I mentioned the omelette he had each morning as he said it was superb!. By far, the best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Everyone goes out of their way to be friendly and speak to you. We had our dog with us too, and everything was just smooth and easy. They also loved her there which always helps :) Thank you for such a wonderful stay

The swimming pool was really cold, despite being summertime

Location close to the lake but secluded. Pool & sun loungers always available and a feeling of spaciousness & security even though close to the road at the front and close to the walkway by the lake at the rear. surprisingly quiet too. The grounds are well kept, with a stylish design of planting, sculptures & lawns. With the hotel small enough that you don’t just feel like a number but luxurious and well equipped with a small gym with high quality equipment, an indoor spa ( not used) & beauty salon, where our whole family enjoyed a massage. Bedrooms were well furnished, cleaned daily. there is a choice of 3 restaurants. We ate in the Il Rivale restaurant twice and the food and service were both excellent. What we liked the most about the property though was the staff. They made our stay, and Tony at the Concierge desk, Alberto on the front desk & Mirko who looked after us each morning at breakfast amongst many others took providing service to ‘service excellence’.

Prices are on the high side & without the people who work there you wouldn’t feel like you were getting ‘good value’ . As it was, the staff were great and we felt we had a good value and a very enjoyable stay. Secondly, very little in the way of environmental measures were observed. This hotel is well placed to lead on environmental issues & could start in making one of their restaurants carbon neutral, increasing use of pulses/legumes/vegetables & reducing portion sizes of meat. A ‘true’ & healthy Mediterranean diet.

We went as I was planning to propose on lake garda and told the staff this and they were excellent. They helped advise a photographer and had rose petals and champagne in the room for when we got back. Luckily she said yes! They also took us and picked us up from a restaurant as there was no Taxis available. Everything was perfect and the food was great. 5 stars isn't a high enough rating for this place and the staff!

Beautiful location and stunning property. Absolutely superior service. The staff was wonderfully helpful and attentive without exception. The front desk personnel and concierge were especially responsive. The restaurants were fabulous. Great breakfast. Top notch wine list, terrific bar. Highly recommend.

The area was filled with mosquitoes. Not just our hotel, but all along the lake. The hotel placed a mosquito repellent device in our room and we had zero issues. Note this is a dog friendly hotel and therefore was overrun with dogs. Normally not a problem, but annoying to see guests seating dogs on chairs at the restaurant table so the dog can eat from a plate on the table.

Rooms were nicely designed and fitted out, high quality and very modern. The bathrooms were also very nice. The restaurants were good; the service was also very good. Food may be a little fancy for some younger dinners. The pool was nice but a little tired looking in places. The service was very good. The overall nice facility we would happily stay there again, and I'm sure we will do it.

The decking around the pool is a little loose in places; also it has been painted/dyed dark, making it almost impossible to stand or walk on during a hot sunny day. The loose pieces, although often repaired, could lead to an accident, trip or fall. Long term, the pool surrounds will need replacing at some point; it's the one thing that lets the place down.

The ac was very cold which is rare in italy, the hotel was 10 min away from desenzano centro, pool was big and staff was friendly.

Some parts of the room was dirty, the curtains did not close all the way so the sun will get through when your sleeping, it wont be fully dark.

Clean and well organised quiet ambience including wide garden directly lead to the private beach, restaurant and pool area ( wasn't open due to the season but well maintained), friendly staffs.

The wardrobe door and bathroom door confusing design to open, when open the bathroom door block the toilet seat legroom.

Extraordinary place. Very professional staff. Nice quiet room,very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with beautiful lake view. Secure parking area. Anyway worth to come back.

At the Splendido Bay Luxury Spa Resort, we enjoyed a wonderful and lavish breakfast with a view of Lake Garda's beach, as well as dinners at the nearby Osteria, where we always appreciated the highly professional service and the fabulous food accompanied by expertly served Franciacorta bubbles.

Unfortunately, due to the extreme weather conditions and severe storms with hail, our car has been severely damaged, and we will never park without cover again.
