Friendly, helpful staff, amazing location, superb breakfast The rooms were pleasant but not flashy, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean and well kept, the air-conditioning was amazing, easily providing a refuge from the 35c heat. Breakfast was exceptional in terms of choice and quality. The hotel is right on the lakeside, adjacent a small pebbly beach with sun beds and umbrellas for rent, and a short walk from the charming centre of Desenzano with a huge range of restaurants, shops and bus, rail and ferry links.

There were no coffee facilities in the room, while there were good ferry and bus connections, it is surprisingly several hours travel to the northern parts of lake.

Friendly staff, great location within walking distance of the centre yet quiet for sleeping in the evening. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Staff were extremely helpful in booking taxis, printing off local bus timetables and allowing us to bring takeout food from next door into the dining room when we arrived late on a Sunday evening. They even laid the table for us to eat and fetched apple juice for one of my sons. All of the staff we experienced during our stay were extremely kind and helpful.

Small thing but I found the bathroom door in our room difficult to shut.

The breakfast is very nice, like a 5 star hotel, and you have a lake view from there. Is also has lactose free and gluten free options. And the ladies in the breakfast room are very nice and speak English. The hotel lets you rent bicycles (an activity I recommend in Garda). Even though the hotel is old, specially the common areas, it seemed cleaned and well maintained. The hotel is located right in front of the lake. There are large trees in front of it though, so it obstructs the view somewhat. There are mosquito nets on the windows. They have a garage. There is a mini mart next to the hotel. There's a nice pizzeria with outside tables and lake view right next to the hotel.

There is no complimentary water in the room. Each bottle is 2 euros. There was no trash bin in the room. The reception seems messy and disorganized. Most of the receptionists were friendly but barely spoke English. We'd planned on asking for tips but gave up because it seemed they wouldn't understand. We initially asked for the Garda Promotion Card (something you get for free for staying on the lake) and they didn't know about it, then later another receptionist did give it to us. The TV has several channels but none in English. Breakfast is mostly self-service but you can't help yourself to coffee, you need to ask the ladies to get you a coffee.

Spacious, clean room with a lake view - I think I got upgraded from a single room due to the off season. The breakfast was amazing!!! Handy location to catch ferry to Sirmione and wander around the lake Power was out for hours on two days, due to construction works, which I thought was a bit odd - hotel didn’t seem to do anything to mitigate it. Rooms definitely not sound proof, sounded like someone was constantly dragging furniture, housekeeping staff really noisy in the corridors in the morning as well

The breakfast was hands down the best i have ever had in any hotel. There is so much choice and is abundant. I also like that breakfast is served until late - 10.30am i think. The room was big and my particular room faced the lake which is nice. Air con was very efficient. The hotel is a 5 - 6 min walk to the ferry which goes to most towns on the lake. There is also a place opposite the hotel to hire pedalos. The bars and resturants are very close just 2-3 mins. It is a no frills hotel, but if you want a base explore and value for money, not sure this can be beaten. 100% wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.

The only thing I can mention is that the bathroom is a little out of date, but it is 100% functional with good water pressure, so this is being SUPER picky.

Very friendly staff, amazing breakfast buffet. Best breakfast spread I’ve ever seen with a range of hot foods, cold meats and cheese, bread and pastries. Desk and restaurant staff were warm, helpful and welcoming. Room was clean with a great bathroom and small balcony with view out onto lake. 10 min walk to centre of town or ferry services.

No supermarkets particularly close within walking distance of property. Building itself is relatively dated.

Great location right on the water and easy walk to many restaurants. There is a lake taxi a few minutes away which you can take to multiple spots on the lake. The breakfast provided is top notch.

Parking is available, but very tight. Thankfully we were able to park and leave it for the stay. The area charges extra tourist fees when you have dinner. Be prepared. There were also unexpected charges not quoted in price that were dropped at checkout that added up to an extra 30 euros for the two night stay.

The friendliness of the breakfast staff was exceptional, so much so that our kids were always looking forward to meeting them. Breakfast was also superb. The location was good, offering the option to easily walk towards the centre. Parking was available.

The parking was not specifically reserved for customers only. The reception staff could be friendlier. Door handles in the room were dangerous for young children. Rooms could do with an upgrade.

A perfect stay. The hotel was well situated at the lakeside and in a quiet part of the town. The room was a good size and all very clean with bedding and towels changed daily, and had a lovely view of the lake. The included breakfast was superb with an excellent range of food of very good quality. All the staff were very nice but the two breakfast ladies were particularly charming and helpful.

Only a minor detail, but because I was with my son we needed twin beds but instead had one very large bed which was actually two twins with one mattress and bedding and one small single bed. It would have been nice to have the twins split so that we each had a decent sized one - unfortunately my son claimed the large bed!

Lovely location with great view of the lake. Rooms were clean and spacious for our family with two teens. Having a hotel bar was also nice. The food at breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and all very tasty.

The property took a bit longer than 10mins walk from train station but it was a lovely walk as downhill. Going back to the station was a bit more tiring ☺️
