Everything about Hotel Porto Azzurro was pretty much perfect, the staff were exceptional, nothing was ever too much for them. Reception were knowledgeable regarding the local area & were always happy to help. Located about a 45 minute leisurely walk from the castle, but if that seems too much, a shuttle bus runs regularly which drops you right outside the hotel 2 Euros each for the journey. Both Andreas & Francesco 2 of the male staff that tend the bar were an absolute joy, they went above & beyond to make sure you enjoyed your stay there...

There was nothing I can think of to say negatively about this Hotel

It was nice place with nice balcony view ( got upgraded room) Breakfasts were amazing ( Fruits, jus, coffee, yogurts, different type of eggs and italian bakery etc) Staff was helpful and polite. The pool area is pretty nice- you always can find sunny area around the pool and at the same tome you can always chill in a shadow on the grass. The wi-fi near the pool not working well, but in the hotel or in the room- didn’t have issues at all. Also, they have not that big menu but everything is delicious - especially Lasagna ( price is lower than in the restaurant)

if you don’t have a car- have to walk a bit to the beach, but they provide bicycles for free so it saves the situation. Nevertheless, we had a car and did’t have this issue, not even with the parking ( always had spot near the hotel)

Location is great just beside the bus stop into centro storico. Pool area was fab , clean plenty of sun loungers, lovely and quiet just blissful. Beds extremely comfortable. Shower was hot and powerful . Balcony was nice. Air conditioning system was perfect which for Italy in August is a total lifesaver . If air conditioning hadn’t worked correctly it would have ruined our trip, so very pleased it worked perfectly. Breakfast was phenomenal. Staff are so nice and helpful. When we checked out for a very early flight they had a packed lunch prepared for us to take with us. And they made us an espresso while we waited for our taxi. I’ve never had such lovely treatment. Bar food for lunch was great will definitely come here again

We really enjoyed our stay at Porto Azzuro, the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The breakfast had a huge selection and we were able to help ourselves. As Vegetarians there were plenty of options for us too. The location is fantastic - with the old town (30 min walk) and new town (5 min walk) accessible with lots of nice restaurants and cafe's to visit. The pool was great, although unheated so cold in April! The bar was open with a friendly barman always willing to rustle up aperitifs! Would definitely stay again!

The cleaning team were super efficient - too efficient at times! There was no sign to say 'do not disturb' which meant they would come in to clean even if you were still in the room.

Good car parking available on site. Large clean pool plenty of sunbeds. Fantastic bar and food options at all hours even when we were leaving too early for breakfast they offered take away breakfast and coffee. I accepted the coffee it was 430am! Very friendly staff. Bikes you could hire. Bigger lift than many hotels. Balcony from our room was shared (enormous) but had separated seating areas with screening plants. Very clean triple room with double and single for 11 year old. Plenty of space. Lovely stay. Brilliant location for local pedalo beach. Restaurant opposite was also brilliant Nonna something. Bus shuttle stop directly outside which ran every 20 mins into the historic centre. Our free bikes for 3 hours from hotel. Lovely breakfast. We were there 3 days and still didn't manage to see everything. When we return we would stay here again. Also left a toy behind and they're shipping it for us. Amazing service and kindness, smiles from everyone.

The location and staff was amazing! Huge selection of breakfast options (Italian cuisine). As it was winter time we had no issues with parking on site (only used outside spots). We had used Bar services several times and were pleased with the good service from the bartender! The interior is not new and I would think that they should start planning an upgrade soon. But it's not bad just don't expect new fresh furniture and so on.

Would prefer a firmer mattress as given one was bouncy and as I like to change sleeping positions my wife was annoyed 🤣 P.S. get rid of TVs as they are hardly working and lagging a lot.

We had a big room, with a private balcony from our Bathroom. Breakfast was very rich, with many options and tasty! Staff are super friendly. it is very close to many good restaurants, has a nice view of Lake Garda, andis close to all tourist locations

There was no cold function in our room's AC. Only HOT or Vantiliaion. Lucky for us, it was raining outside, but because we were a family of 5, it felt a little "stuffie"

Comfortable beds, room with a lake view, plentiful breakfast although coffee could have been better. Clean.Very pleasant staff. Bikes free of charge.Easy access to and from Sirmione with a car.

We were unfortunate to have heavy smokers in the room next to us so sitting on the balcony was unbearable when they were sat out smoking. Unfortunately smoke drifts in the air and is not contained to the person smoking😕Would be better if the rooms were divided to keep smokers/non smokers separated. The rules of the pool are rather strict and caters more to adults than families with children, so would choose elsewhere if you have kids who like to have fun in the pool.

Thanks for a super experience. The room with a view of Lake Garda and the fine finish was great. The staff were very nice and helpful. The guys at the bar made such good mojitos. Breakfast is in a class of its own, not what we are used to in Italy, so very good. The bikes that we were allowed to borrow for free to cycle the 2 kilometers to the old town were great. Free parking for the car also good. So we are only positive and will be happy to come back if we are in Sirmione again.

The hump that you had to drive over to drive down into the garage, our car was too low and caught the undercarriage. We have a Tesla S.

The room and the level of cleanliness was satisfactory and we were able to enjoy our day. We were people in one room, room was quite small for five people. Other than that the hotel had lots of parking next to it and marina so we could rent a boat across the lake. There was a pool and the breakfast was very good and everything was very clean.

The only thing that was a problem was the Internet. I don’t know if it was The location of our room or the Internet itself but we weren’t able to get a proper Internet connection
