Just the peaceful setting, Right on the beachfront. Miles of golden sandy beach to walk watching the sunset This is my fourth visit.

Some guest lighting up their cigarettes and vaping, in the lobby area and dining area. Spoiling the fresh sea breeze. I did bring this up with the management.

Magnificent colonial architecture with soul, an impressive building, excellent food in the restaurant (a huge selection of Sri Lankan, Asian, and European dishes), great pool (there was absolutely no need to be on the beach). The room was clean.

The service wasn't very professional – constant problems with towels at the pool, trash from the previous day was strewn about in the morning, and the car that was supposed to pick us up from the airport didn't come because... the manager's father was sick. It's outrageous that the reception desk of such a hotel has people who barely speak English.

This is Hotel was lovely to stay at and they are pretty our room which was very nice kind of them to do that and we had a lovely day here enjoyed the breakfast of a nice big breakfast they had and also enjoyed the location. It was a lovely location with chilled out and relaxed after our tour that we did of Sri Lanka. It was very nice.

I’m happy and particularly enjoyed the facilities at this hotel The only problem that we had was we tried to organise our transfer to Colombo from here but we had asked the hotel and they were giving us an extortionate rate. We had to try and get this organised ourselves outside of the hotel so do not use the hotel taxi service is very very expensive we found it very very expensive thank you.

We had an incredible stay at the Blue Water hotel for our wedding in January, the service, food and hotel room were all excellent throughout our stay and the wedding event itself was absolutely magical! We owe a special thanks to a number of staff for going above and beyond during our stay-Shakila in guest relations for taking such good care of us and all of our guests staying at the hotel, including introducing wedding guests to one another. Ishani in guest relations and the hotel manager Mr De Alwis for providing exceptional support and reassurance during a medical emergency, ensuring that our family member got the swift medical attention they needed. And to Mr Kumara for his kindness in helping our friend after the wedding. Overall we had an unforgettable stay and look forward to returning!

This was the best hotel pool I've ever been to! Huge and great fun! The breakfasts were really good too, and we enjoyed all our meals at the hotel. My favourite thing may have been the lovely bath tub - complete with bubble jets!

Well the hotel can't change this, but it was a shame we couldn't really swim in the sea which was a bit rough! there could be more options for small children who don't like spicy food!

Gorgeous setting, friendly staff, clean swimming pools, great gym facility, tasty fresh omelettes on offer for breakfast each day! We were full board rather than all inc. great idea as drinks were so reasonable we never would have been able to drink the amount that we would need to, to make the difference!! the all inc. guests also had local spirits & a list of those drinks included which we wouldn't have wanted.

Not enough plain food for the tourists who don't want spicy food every lunch & evening, no decent wine at all, only a Chardonnay & one red wine...both were shocking!! Also staff didn't clear the tables ready for people waiting to sit down to eat efficiently in the dining area.

The property is well maintained The staff working there was exceptional

Very comfortable, good food, great beach, pool & garden. Most of all, the staff - they work so hard & are so nice.

Lots of maintenance issues, which is understandable considering hotel was closed until December 2021, but needs to be attended to soon.

Excellent. Huge variety and very tasty food. All the staff at the hotel were very polite, friendly and helpful. Special thanks to all restaurant staff including managers( sorry for not mentioning all the names) , Lithara, who welcomed us and came to see us off, Srimal, taking time to take us on the Bawa tour
