This was a very old but nice hotel. My family had 2 rooms and we all had a great time. We all loved the giant bathrooms with huge tubs. While we were there, the a/c went out, and it was very uncomfortable for a night, but the breeze was great. They had a repairman scheduled before we even notified them. Also, we met a friendly ghost. It was nothing scary. Our autistic daughter had her tablet with her. While the rest of the family was away, I saw something operating the tablet and watching kids' shows. I moved the tablet, and every time I stopped the video and walked away, it would start playing again! I was glad it didn't happen around the kids, but it was a unique experience. I don't know the history there, but something likes to watch kids shows 🥰

We didn't enjoy the ac being out whole we were there. However, we respected how the situation was addressed and understood that older hotels are bound to have a snag or two. It's how it is handled that matters. It won't stop us from returning.

The old world charm. Astonished by age and how well it seems to be kept up! Just loved it.

The breakfast was lack luster. Though the great value yogurt was surprisingly yummy. Would prefer Amish bakery foods, scrambled eggs, sausage, so many beautiful farmers markets to get fresh rhubarb, strawberries, grapes, blueberries. Make fresh fruit cups. Real cream from cows, etc. Charge a little more during weekends to recoup food money. Love the coffee station on the 2nd floor. Loved my room, 219 for it location in the building and so cozy was the bed. Great water pressure. Thanks for my late arrival help. REMEMBER to let the hotel know ahead of time if your late and leave good number, sometimes booking sites don’t update information or save preferences.

The lobster bisque was good and really hit the spot after a long drive & busy day. The bartender/concierge we met was very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is located in a charming small town near everything we wanted to see and do in Lancaster / Chester counties. We felt as if we went back in time and experienced life in the 1800's. The beds were comfortable and the room was much larger than expected, which we both liked very much ! We also enjoyed the artwork on display and the garden located at the back of the Hotel.

The rug ( in our room ) was in need of cleaning.

It was clean and comfortable with plenty of natural light. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to meet all of my needs. The on-site restaurant was convenient. There was entertainment (comedy performances) in the pub which would have been great but we had other plans and could not attend. Finally even though it was in the center of town there was plenty of free parking and no street noise after midnight.

Realizing that it is a historic inn the bathroom was large but the toilet was very low to the floor with no handicap bars. This was difficult but not impossible, however I could not use the bathtub/shower due to the lack of handicap assistance bars, shower seat and the depth of the tub. But these things should not be a problem for people without handicaps. The electric plug for the night stand lamp on the right side of the bed did not work. But there were plenty of other lamps. Finnaly I am hesitant to mention this last item because it has nothing to do with the inn, but the second night I had horrible nightmares.

for a last minute reservation this turned out to be a good stay Great that there is a restaurant and pub on the premises. We ate dinner in the Pub and the bartender was very nice and friendly. Food was good. Breakfast the next morning was also good. Just basics like milk juice coffee. Bagels and hardboiled eggs, cereal. it was good. Shower had good water pressure for being on the 3rd floor

More towels we had just enough and it would have been nice to have a few extra hand towels

We liked that it was centrally located for us. The room was large and comfortable . There was a free continental breakfast and it was walkable to a store, a few restaurants (including the one inside). It is a very old Inn, so you just need to be aware of that going into it. It was quiet, and we were able to check in even after the lobby was closed.

It was a bit outdated, but for the price we paid, it was fine.

It was a nice surprise to find that it was comedy night when we stayed, so we got to enjoy some entertainment for free. Dinner at the Inn was great; we ordered a few things and enjoyed it all. Breakfast was decent, nothing exceptional. The cost of the stay was well worth everything!

The bed and pillows were not real comfortable. We may ask for more pillows next time or bring our own.

I liked that it felt more like an "inn" than a hotel chain. The room layout helped it stay quiet (no neighbors on every side). There was a good restaurant downstairs that made it easy to order in. Fair pet fee.

All the parking closest to the door was handicap or for the restaurant. It made it hard to unload. I HOPE the carpets are cleaned on a regular basis. The decor, while charming, is dated.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice restaurant and pub on premises. Comfortable bed. K-cup coffee in 2nd floor common area. Staff member promptly resolved TV issue with proper remote. Fridge with freezer and microwave.

Bathroom in need of refresh, but everything was functional. Traffic noise at front of building a bit high. Breakfast offerings ok, but nothing special. More and bigger pillows would be nice.

Was looking for a change from Expo Center lodging and was pleasantly surprised by a refreshing stay "a world away", approx 10 minutes off the PA Tpke. Room bigger than expected, comfortable bed, convenient on-site restaurant and pub with varied menu, self-serve breakfast room.

Could not locate a hairdryer in the room. You need to request from reception (though it was delivered to my room within minutes at 6am!) In-room Insulation/acoustics - woken very early Sunday a.m. by nearby room conversions
