I enjoyed the air conditioned room, pool, and proximity to a family restaurant in the corner.

The gate was locked for the parking was locked and had a car blocking the exit (when there was parking available). This delayed my exit.

Carla, the Desk Clerk, is indispensible: bilingual, intelligent, kind, and a local with knowledge about everything. Re Barra de Navidad itself, I do not recommend visiting during Mexican holidays due to the crowding. Other than that, beach is very nice, food costs are very reasonable, drink ONLY sanitized water, and there are 10-25c US bus fares to nearby cities (Melaque and Cihuatlan). Currently my 26th season here and it just keeps getting better.

No negatives November through mid-April. HOWEVER, re the surf, examine the rhythm of the large waves unless you want smothered. The rhythm generally changes: a couple hi waves, a couple medium waves, a few minutes of calm, repeato. Trust me! $25 US 1-way taxi from Manzanillo airport, no mi gusto. Cheaper to taxi to Cihuatlann autobus estacion and take the local bus from there to Barra for 25c US. Fishing has been poor the past several years due to water temperatures.

The written description was wrong and very misleading. and disappointing. It said it was on the ocean//Beach It was 2 blocks away But since there's no beach that is accessible and no swimming or wading .. This needs to be mentioned. The main / only activity is eating and shopping.

There was no breakfast? Location is good, beds were good

Didn’t know we were coming ,room was not very clean, very dated broken down furniture, shower drain backed up while showering.
