Amazing hotel with fantastic medieval rooms and a wonderful restaurant full of atmosphere and serving absolutely delicious italian food and wines all served by professional waiters and from their dress, all aspiring monks ! First impression as you arrive outside is ‘OMG’ it’s awful. Basically, sitting in a built up area with loads of building works going on to build an extension to the hotel. However, on entering the hotel you walk into a purpose built medieval world that is truly magic and oozes charm and class. We will return for sure

Hotel is very special and rooms are very nice. Room and bathroom was clean. Almost all staff was friendly. If it will be warmer I woul give a 10.

WHen we came, room was very cold. They switched off heating. After complain, they turn on heating, but room wasn warm enough. Also water bed heating was switched off. Bed was cold. After I complain to receptionist (man), he told me to use smaller bed. Hey, I paid for a water bed! After some arguing, he send lady, but she hasn't have some tool and she told that she'll be back. After I have seen where they are hiding bed heating controller, I fixed by myself. Cigaretes smell att he reception is very annoying. It was there only when man was at the reception. I think it is inpropriate to smoke in a non smoking hotel.

A very nice room. I don't know what the originally booked room would have looked like, but as the door refused to open we received an upgrade from the very friendly receptionist. The room was spacious and the hotel had a very nice feel about it. Breakfast and the evening meal in the restaurant were very good

The up-grade left us in a room with a water bed. That might be something for someone, but not for me. But I won't blame the staff for their best intention in letting us have that room.

We loved the unique experience of staying in a beautifully restored old monastery. The design and decoration gave it so much character. The breakfast was very nice, and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

The family room felt a bit small for four adults, and the bathroom was also very tight. The mattress made creaking sounds whenever we moved, which was a little distracting during sleep.

Very friendly staff, cozy, pleasant and quiet room, near a small forest for a wonderful walk into town. I do interval fasting and don‘t eat breakfast but I did have a look at the breakfast buffet and it looked very inviting. Also nice to have a restaurant on site with a good red table wine. Overall comfortable, intimate experience and not the typical impersonal hotel atmosphere.

a fitness center would have been nice to have

If you want a change from the maintstream hotel room this is a great option out of a city. It is unique with a point of difference that has character. The location suited our travel plans but currently there is external construction on the site which is a bit of a turn off. The food was great and the service was very friendly but their a bit slow to move, their very chill.

Room lighting

Good location, a little further out from the centre of the town, but easy 30min walk into the centre. Would be good to come back in the winter and try the fireplace on the room

For the first time in Germany felt like I was an inconvenience in the attached restaurant. The waiter was not will to wait whilst I made my selection Had to ask him to stay, and he did begrudgingly. I only took a further 10sec to make my choice

Hotel interior architecture is very unique and interesting. Done in the middle age style, it was somewhere between Camelot and the Hobbit Houses. Remarkable and very enjoyable. The waiting staff are dressed as Monks, which brings alot of atmosphere

Hotel is presently being built on, so noise and parking limitations. There is a huge shopping complex next door and also roadworks, so difficult to reach and not a good view

That is an interesting hotel with a restaurant, especialy if you like historic buildings! Came to it by coincidence as it was a last minute booking on the way of our trip. A little tricky to get to it by car, but there is parking available. Special thanks to their kitchen staff as we arrived late in the evening but they still made dinner for the kid.

Room close to reception - a little noisy

The medieval atmosphere of the location, the furniture, the breakfast. There is a Kaufland supermarket nearby.

Although I paid for three people, the equipment related to the room was for two people (2 glasses, shampoo, liquid soap, towels). Lack of air conditioning. The parking lot on the side of the hotel, cramped and with pebbles on the floor.
