The room was a comfortable spacious delight, with a wide bed, and wide free variety of coffee, tea, even beer and snacks! The cabinets were roomy, with many hangers, which we needed. We were allowed to place our bags in the restaurant below as we arrived early, and they brought them up for us later, which was a relief for us as the stairs were steep. The guy who welcomed us, even gave us a welcome brownie and coffee, which we enjoyed.

What perplexed us at first upon arrival was that the door appeared shut with no one around. In actual fact, the hotel shares an entrance with the Cuban restaurant next door, and the staff there help run the hotel too. This could be explicitly mentioned to first timers like us so we wouldn't panic upon arrival. Our toilet happened to be outside our room, though private and exclusive to us. Still somewhat of an annoyance. The bar noise from below and revelries were boisterous on a holiday eve, but that did not bother us.

The room was huge! A massive bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe and a beautiful bathroom with a sunken bath. Very comfortable.

I didn’t read the information sufficiently in advance - the hotel is above a busy restaurant. However, the noise (in the week) didn’t go on too late. I’m not sure what it’s like at the weekend. The stairs up to the room are very steep and there is no lift.

Absolutely massive room, huge bed, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, free snacks, beer and water in room. Fantastic value. Be aware there are steep stairs to the rooms.

An alarm went off at 6am. No staff are on site and we didn't really know what to do. Luckily it didn't seem to be a fire alarm but it was a worrying time and ruined a great night's stay.

Well located in the town centre. A very popular tapas restaurant downstairs. A huge room and bathroom. Air conditioning. Secure bike parking in a locked garage.

No breakfast - this is really just a few rooms above a restaurant - not a full hotel. On a Sunday at 8am there was almost nowhere to get breakfast nearby. A huge TV, but I couldn’t get it to show any TV channels, so it was just as well that I could get the dvd player to work.

Big spacious room facing onto the market place, quirky big bathroom; normal facilities were as expected - wifi, jug, aircon, quiet at night, real double bed but made up as singles. Be aware: rooms are 2 or 3 flights up steep stairs - problem for disabled or big luggage; old building with modern refit but noise comes from people above (quiet at night) - we loved our 2 nights here. Dinner downstairs in La Cubitana was great.

the location is fabulous, right on the main road in the center off the central City of Zwolle. The room was large and well equipped. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was walking distance to train and attractions.

Our toilet was private, but off the hallway. Inconvenient for us older folks. The rooms are above a restaurant, there is some noise but not bad. Oddest thing is there is no one at a front desk. You wait till restaurant staff show up about 3 PM to check in, can’t leave luggage earlier no one there. After check in you have keys to come and go as you wish.

Loved the room. Very modern design and loads of space.

Two - very steep - staircases. Would certainly be a problem with a bigger suitcase.

Huge apartment with good facilities and well equipped kitchen. Right in the centre of Zwolle. Friendly staff who allowed us early access to the room which we really appreciate after our journey.

Quite noisy on Saturday night, better on Sunday.

You need to know that the hotel is really 4 rooms on top of a restaurant/bar. There are 3 flights of extremely steep stairs and no lift.

My son loved the loft room, there were no arguments over who was sleeping where. The size of the room was very generous.

I ended up sleeping with the cushion rather than the pillow as it was too big (thick) for me, but generally the room was comfortable. The stairs were also a bit much for my elderly mum, but we made it!
