This is a really nice hotel in a great location, however,,it is a combination of two hotels,,one side is very modern ,the other side older and a little shabby. It did have a nice terrace to sit outside,but just felt the room could do with a freshen up.

I stayed in a close by hotel for 3 nights( unfortunately they could not fit me in an extra night) that was one star graded less,but I honestly feel their facilities were better,and they included breakfast!

Decent room with balcony, air con, en suite. Cleaned with beds made and towels replenished each day. Free towels for the poolside with plenty of sun loungers and shade. Good food and drink available and quite helpful bar staff. Short walk to the beach. Evening entertainment was fine. Nice and relaxing.

A little noise at night from other people at the hotel. I managed to drown it out with the air conditioning and all was quite by approximately 1am anyway.

Fantastic hotel. We were able to take our lovable labrador and they welcomed him. Our room was overlooking the sea with a balcony. The room was basic as we were in Puntazo 1 but it was definitely better than the 1*. It really met our expectations. Sometimes when you take a dog you don't feel welcomed and have a plastic type room. The reception, restaurant and bar area were lovely and clean. Very modern. We used the pool area where there were ample loungers, tables and chairs. Both outdoor and underground car park. Literally across the road from the beach and walking distance to bars and restaurants.

The only thing we would have liked was tea/coffee/kettle facilities. It would have been nice to make a coffee and sit on the balcony in a morning. The bar sold lovely coffee, and well priced but it was the inconvenience of having to go to the bar to get it.

I have been staying in this excellent hotel, El Puntazo, almost every year since my dad and his wife moved to Almeria for their retirement around 15 years ago - only exceptions have been the pandemic years and may be a couple of other years while my dad and his wife were getting settled with a new place. Loved my balcony and room with sea view on this occasion. I recommend it to anyone visiting Mojacar - very good service and whilst understandably Spanish is the main language - the staff speak very good English if required.

Possibly an error on my part for not checking the room service time and not locating the Do Not Disturb door sign - I think it was around 10.30am when room service arrived on my second day - and needed to vacate the room - seemed a little early (I was recovering from the drinks night before and think it was the time of a very rare experience of medium rain). Can be easily resolved with the DND sign tho. Perhaps some craft beers at the bar would be great too - although seems to have very nice lagers Galicia etc, but I am a big fan of craft beers -can byuy some in the Dia shop 15-20mins walk up the road tho - on the way to commercial complex (turn left on leaving the hotel .

The buffet breakfast was very good, and there was cold as well as hot choices. The location of the hotel couldn’t have been better and the sea view is superb. The gardens and the whole setting of the hotel is so relaxing with a lovely large pool and separate child’s pool. The staff on reception, bar , grounds people and cleaning staff were all very hard working and eager to please. On the whole for our first ever visit to Mojácar, the hotel was a major factor in our decision to return again in the near future.

We had booked the Hotel El Puntazo 1 but a few days before our trip we were advised that we had been rebooked into the sister hotel , the Punta del Cantal . Not a problem for us as they both looked lovely . On arrival the lady behind the desk checked us in and then showed us to our room . We had been given a suite which had a lovely sea view for our two night stay . Later on we met another wonderful member of the reception team , unfortunately I can’t remember the gentleman’s name but we had a good chat about motor racing .We often take mini-breaks in Mojacar and have tried several different hotels but this was our favourite. Great location , clean and very pleasant,well equipped rooms and excellent staff . This will be our first choice hotel for our next visit

We liked Puntazo.11,where we moved to after the first nite in room 120 in Puntazo.1,which was not very good at all.There is a distinct difference in the 2 rooms,6 notes in room 211 was really nice.The staff were helpful,the breakfast was excellent with nice friendly staff

Room was very basic but bed was comfortable, good heating for a cold March night and English news channels on TV, nice upper room with terrace in sunshine. Sadly no heating in bathroom though. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Anne and Pedro. Our dog was welcome. Overall, for a budget room at very reasonable price, we were happy.

No heating in bathroom so too cold to use shower.

95% of my interactions and were exceptional customer service. The purpose built shower, vs a bath with a shower, was excellent. Hot water on tap, not je experience elsewhere. Room service daily. The pool was wonderful and pool towels were complimentary. Quality of the pool chairs were the best I came across over 5 other locations, Seaview pentecion was adorable, perfect for a solo traveller. Local restaurants very good to top class. A glass of Rioja was €3.80. Really good quality. Nice to enjoy while watching sport on their high quality TV screens. They have npan out door pool table. There is a local bus service that travels the length of Mojácar every 30 mins. This will take you to Mojàcar Peublo, high into the mountains for €1.20. As well as up and down the local coast line, to the Spanish (and highly recommended) Supermarket, Mercadona, based in a shopping plaza along the sea front, lovely clothing shops here too. (Exclusive airport shuttles) €39 return or €20 one way. A shuttle bus service to and from the airport, picks up outside the Hotel el Puntazo 1.

The food in general in Spain and the hote is very meat and shell fish orientated. The chicken burger was processed chicken.

We were upgraded as soon as we arrived as I having a walking stick and can’t do stairs. The room was lovely. The staff are exceptional, nothing is too much bother. The waitresses are friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend
