Both Gustav and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. from the minute we got into the property util we left. I used work in the Hospitality Industry mainly in 5 Stars establishments and my expectations are super high when I travel and booking accommodation. What Gustav and the rest of The Suburban Guest House Staff gave us was exceptional 10 Stars service. I proudly and strongly recommend The Suburban Guest House for accommodation when you are in Bloemfontein.

the breakfast was excellent and people were very friendly with all guests. the manager was very good and treated us like family. i really want come again when i have time so that i can spend more time there.

truly speaking I will be lying if I can say something was not good. the only thing I notice as safety issue is the freezer on the cloth carboard it was very hot and is not safe there.

We stayed there with a colleague for 5 days. Gustav is the best thing to happen to that property. I loved the little fruit bowls before breakfast, and daily variety in the breakfast.When we had power outage he kept us informed and made sure we had basics like lights and charging points

The property is conveniently located near a shopping center which has takeout and grocery stores and access to other necessities. Gustav was an amazing host and very attentive. He made sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. The property has a kitchen-dining area which was open for us to use and had crockery and cutlery laid out for guests to use. Breakfast was also quite good and Gustav made sure to go the extra mile in providing chicken when I said I don’t eat pork or beef. Very comfortable for one night stay.

Not a dislike but just a note - the rooms are on the smaller side but are still comfortable and have a space for everything you need with enough room for 2 people.

Very friendly, helpful, competent staff. Host, Gustav, was exceptional and nothing was too much effort from him. Room was spotless, bed very comfortable and breakfast very tasty. They even catered for a take-away breakfast pack on our last day when we had to leave early. Will recommend them anytime and be study there again when in Bloemfonein.

The room on its own was just so amazing and cozy, the environment too, oh my God. The stuff and the owner were out of this world. Let alone the service, best of the best. Their breakfast was one of the top-notch. Mr Gustav was just so nice and friendly and looking out for me.

Fast response on questions. Reminder/welcoming message was sent. Beautiful clean room with inside parking. Gustav was so friendly and welcoming, knowing me by name. Beautiful garden... Wonderful breakfast was served, fast and 😋 delicious. Would definitely see them again!!

Very little but some maintenance due. Loose town tack and leaking shower, but would still recommend as its definitely one of the better places to stay...

The venue was most accommodating when asked if we could invite local family member to join us for breakfast. Very homely feel and brilliant and safe location in the suburbs. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Well done.

A little more variety for breakfast. The food was excellent, but a little one-dimensional. Some pastries like muffins or croissants would have made a big difference.

It was a well balanced meal and warm.i addition, the staff was very friendly and professional. The kitchen is very clean, the working surface clean too. The meals are prepared wherein a space where a customer can easy see the whole process of meal preparation.

The rooms were so clean, the staff was so friendly, the breakfast was amazing. And I loved the fact that we could make arrangements for someone to collect the key for us as they were closing earlier than we were to arrive. I was communicating with Mr Gustav all this time. Very patient gentleman and we were able to reach a good agreement.

They close early
