This hotel is always amazing, great vale for money and the best breakfast.

Reception staff needs to be more observant. There was a lady checking in while I was having dinner and there was a gent that kept going to reception, chatting there and trying to look fancy and while doing this, going to the female guests, asking their names because he is waiting for a lady to visit.. Gives a bad vibe and makes guests uncomfortable

Pleasantly surprised by the 3 stars, it deserves one more! Very well looked after little hotel, well not so little. Just had everything we wanted for an overnight stay.

The cost of breakfast!! We paid the same for breakfast for two at Mugg & Bean, including eggs and coffee! Big bus parked at the back of property where our room was, switched on the engine at 0530AM on a Sunday!!!!!!!

City Lodge, Bloemfontein, feels like home. Staff always great and friendly. They walk the extra mile. The gift and welcome note on my bed was WOW! Restaurant and bar convenient. Will return in the future.

Small thing. Swimming pool was empty. Guests sometimes a bit noisy. Breakfast a bit expensive, since I do not eat so much. Miss the rusks with coffee when departing.

Although I was surprised that there was dinner available at the Hotel. The selection on the menu was fair, in addition the meals are standard and not Wow !! But certainly, will be back at a later date. Thanks.

I was walking down the steps with a gentleman holding my arm, and I tripped and fell on the bottom step. The lighting is terrible going down those stairs. I have bruises on both legs and I hit my head. I advised the staff in the morning but they seem to think nothing of it. The lighting needs to be much better on the stairway so you are not standing in the shadow of the light with your body. The bruising is brutal and my head and neck are still sore and this is a couple of days after. It took two strong man to finally get me back on my feet. R Anne McKenzie

We dont have breakfast but we enjoy the evening drinks and snacks in front of the fireplace It was so comfortable to eat in the hotel because whether outside was stormy.

The entrance to the Hotel is a bit tricky to find coming from the N1, more direction posts indicating the route to the Hotel will be helpful especially at night or in a heavy downfall.

Great location. Easy to find on Nelson Mandela Road.

No water in the room. The kettle was dry and had to buy water from the bar to put in the kettle. Was woken at 5 am by people shouting in the passage outside our room. When I told the receptionist she stated that it was people booking in this morning and said she had asked them to be quiet but they ignored her. This was annoying as we needed a good sleep after a really long day yesterday.

The hotel was a welcome oasis after a long drive. We came for the Grey College soccer tournament. The hotel was very close to the college, so the location was excellent . It was nice coming back from a hot day to sit at the lovely poolside. The rooms are very clean and modern and well furnished. We liked everything about it. Also close to lots of malls, so you have many options for food.

Location was great - near Grey College for the interschools, near the mall and waterfront. Rooms are spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great showers. Busy road, but rooms quiet.

Breakfast was excluded - and price really high. Nothing to do with the hotel - but would enjoy Uber in Bloemfontein. No room service - dinner must be ordered in the restaurant.

Service was good. I was charged double accidently, but if not for the efficiency of the front desk staff ... I would not have known, and she refunded me so quickly. Wonderful staff. Even the restaurant staff were very good and helpful.

The only complaint was that my toilet was not cleaned properly... I think someone forgot to wipe the outside of the toilet bowl on the outside... was really gross...
