My goodness, why does everyone give this hotel such a bad score? This place is a TREASURE! The GRAND hotel Salerno, baby! Massive rooms, nice balconies, all the stuff you possibly need I guess. OK OK OK, the whole place looks like something out of the 70s, but its hilarious! Stop taking yourselves so seriously. If you're going to be like that, why don't you spend x10 the price over on the Amalfi coast? Cheap as chips (chips not included)

Reminded me of a really bad dream.

The location is excellent, with panoramic sea views and large comfortable rooms, some with 2 bathrooms. We were a family group of 11 with 6 rooms and all thecrooms were great.

1 There were maintenance issues. Dome lights weren't working in the rooms,some had air conditioning problems, and the room had to be changed. 2. The staff attitude was very mixed - a few (like Francesca) were very helpful and cheerful, others indifferent, and even calling for a cab seemed a big ask fir them ! 3..Breakfast was very ordinary, with no hot dishes.

Exceptional experience! The hotel may not be brand new, but it was impeccably clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly — truly top performance. The location is outstanding: just a 4-minute walk to the port, from where we took daily trips to Amalfi, Positano, and Capri. Beaches, restaurants, and shopping areas are all within easy walking distance. Everything you need is right nearby. A wonderful stay, truly memorable!

Ample selection at breakfast buffet, great hours, lots of space. Had breakfast daily as part of room rate and took full advantage. Air conditioning in room was fully working. Bathrooms updated and everything worked fine. Location is 10 minutes from train station and 10 minutes to ferry dock, both easy walks for a senior citizen like me! Front desk was always helpful from the check-in to check-out. Wifi was adequate (though I was not on my laptop much). NIce rooftop dinner area with beautiful view of coastline.

Breakfast buffet: they didn't serve cooked food like fried egg or bacon, but I didn't miss it in the summertime. It's a very large hotel and the lobby can be congested in the early evening. I did not need try any spa facilities.

this hotel is i think ubderestimated, normally i do not book hotels which are valuated under 8 but this time i am positive surprised location is perfect close to old town, harbor and center good Restaurants closeby and also beach ok Beach is bit the best or cleaest water but Salerno is not a place for swimming holiday

The room was too hot, hallways cold, tried to use the AC. but didn’t work. The only relief was from opening window. Complained at the front desk and was told it was transitioning from winter to summer and not yet functioning, not a great excuse for a big hotel.

Location, staff, breakfast, and room size - it was huge. Plenty of room. And the view !!

Another luggage stand would have been nice as there was only 1, and there were two of us, each with a suitcase.

The hotel is old and needs some renovations. Beside that it is very well located, overlooking the see, in a walking distance on everything you need in the city. The rooms are big and very comfortable. Breakfast could offer more variety of food, as it is same everyday and not very versatile

Not much to complain

breakfast is generous with a wonderful view on sea and mountains. The room is clean and large size with a balcony. Location is near the train station and along the see, perfect. Room is very quiet, no noise at all.

the only minus is the wifi that is less than optimal. Strong everywhere, it is too weak inside the room.

My room was was on the water front. It was big enough to spread out, not cramped at all. Th bathroom was big, even had a bath. The breakfast was amazing, such a variety of foods. I was also able to leave my bag on check out day so I could explore some more.

I had some trouble with the shower, but only because I am not used to this system. I could not get the main shower head to work.
