The grounds and the staff were truly top notch. I want to thank Marco for helping me with dinner every night. I was diagnosed with a serious stomach condition before my trip to Italy. I have to be on the bland food for the foreseeable future and I had so much anxiety about this trip. Marco went above and beyond to make sure my meals were safe and delicious at the same time. Rosita is honestly one of a kind. She is so warm and passionate. She made my day with how kind she was. Maria is also such a kind soul and so in tune with all of the guests. This hotel was the highlight of our trip!

This is a world-class hotel. We stay in many top hotels, and this has all the elements we love. It's a beautiful hide-away, set in a garden filled with lemons, ferns and bougainvillea. It's also where they grow the vegetables for the kitchen. It's a respite from the noise of the tourist area just outside the walls. The hotel building is entrancing, with flower-covered balconies looking down on the garde; and the interior is designed beautifully with tiles and glass. The staff deserve a special mention - everyone we met was natural, attentive, funny and prompt. This was top-rate. Breakfast in the garden is serene. That location turns into a piano bar later in the day. The breakfast is a buffet, but very good. The fresh mozzarella in particular was superb. Our meal in the garden restaurant was very romantic. I highly recommend that you eat here. Room 24 was comfortable, with good aircon, a large balcony and a view over the gardens, church and sea (to some extent). We particularly enjoyed the complementary sunset boat tour, which showed us the best view of the Amalfi coast, together with a glass or two.

Our shower was a bit feeble. The pool is functional, but not large. You have to pay extra at breakfast for things like omelettes. You cannot drive to the hotel - but you can leave your bags on the edge of town and the porters will handle them for you. Sometimes the music in the garden is a bit loud for us, but that seems to be an Italian thing.

The staff were welcoming, extremely helpful and friendly.The location is very central. The hotel building and the rooms are great.

The breakfast is substandard. No natural muesli. Scrambled egg and bacon too cold to enjoy. Orange juice is included but no other juices unless you want to pay an extre €11. Likewise omelettes etc were an extra €20 on top of the €35 for a baic breakfast.. At restaurant you couldn't see the winelist.... a so called "sommelier" helped with wine choice. They did not have knowledge beyond what was on their tablet. Pour size 75ml took me by surprise. Other poor behaviour in uncorking was witnessed

The hotel was gorgeous, the room was large with beautiful view from the balcony. The on site outdoor bar, restaurant, garden and pool were amazing with views of the city and somewhere quiet to escape to when not shopping / eating / touring. Lastly the staff was phenomenal. In particular, Antonio at the pool always knew exactly what we needed whether a towel, shawl or umbrella while reading at the pool, and I enjoyed getting to know him as I read there many hours a day. Top notch hotel, attentive staff, best location in all of Positano, a true 10/10 experience.

The only thing, if I had to pick something, that I didn’t love - was the lobster roll. Beyond a singular menu item there is nothing not to love here. But coming from New England and visiting Maine every year for the last decade, it left a little to be desired (very little lobster, a lot of lettuce)

Palazzo Murat is an Oasis in a very busy city. It was a delight to walk into the calm of the garden after the hustle and bustle of Positano at the height of Summer. The staff were excellent. the evening boat tour (included) was fantastic. Picking us up with our luggage from our drop off (and delivering us back there for our pick up) was great and made the stay more enjoyable.

I would have liked to have stayed longer

This hotel was amazing. I booked it from Japan, hoping to enjoy cocktails and breakfast in its beautiful courtyard. The gorgeous room with high ceilings, the welcome champagne, the cocktails enjoyed with live music, and the lovely breakfast—all exceeded my expectations. When my husband asked the manager about running routes, he kindly provided detailed information, and later even looked at the photos he had taken upon his return. Thanks to this hotel, all my memories of Positano are filled with happiness.

The hotel is at a fantastic location right near the beachfront of Positano, with a beautiful and peaceful garden away from the busy street filled with tourists. The garden bar is great and the restaurant serves the best food in Positano they have a great selection of local and international wines.

We were very happy during our stay and the service was excellent. Breakfast was great and well organised so there wasn’t really something to complain about.

Our stay at Hotel Palazzo Murat was 10/10. The rooms were magnificent, the breakfast superb and the staff accommodating. The food at the adjacent restaurant (part of the hotel) was the best I had throughout my stay in Positano. The location was perfect too, close to everything.

There is no lift at this hotel, however this didn't bother us and the staff do bring your suitcases up. There is a disabled seat lift though!

Truly beautiful grounds with charming lemon trees, garden and beautiful pool area with infinity edge pool and glass walls overlooking sea and church. The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to make you feel at home! The location of the property was amazing, only 0.13m from beach and right in center of all the shops but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the street. LOVED IT!! Will definitely go back again and recommend to all my friends!

It was absolute perfection. From the moment we arrived on the steps to leaving. Truly our most memorable stay in our three week Italy trip. We felt like we were family but in, what should be, a five star hotel. The food at the hotel had some of our favorite meals during our entire trip. We never expected to feel at home but at Palazzo, we did. The colors, design and gardens of the hotel are breathtaking. We really could go on and on.

Deserves five stars rather than four.
