The location is amazing. Footsteps from the beach and stores. The view from our room with a balcony was exceptional. The room was very spacious, updated and clean. The staff at the restaurant for breakfast and front desk were very friendly and helpful.

The owner/manager was very rude to us. Not realizing that we were hotel guests, I believe, he tried to shush us away from the hotel entrance while we were finishing a gelato we had bought next door. He kept saying how it's over tourism in the area, that it's a nice hotel and we were blocking the front door. He even said we didn't belong there. Meanwhile we had 3 of their top suits for 3 nights. I can understand him wanting the front of the hotel to be unobstructed but he should have approached us in a respectful way even if we weren't hotel guests. After he realized we were hotel guests he didn't even care to apologize. I think that's unacceptable.

We absolutely loved Buca di Bacco and the staff was amazing!! Even though we had a smaller-ish room, the view was spectacular and made up for it. Plus, we didn't spend much time in there other than to look at the spectacular sites. The breakfast brunch was spectacular and we had a hard time choosing every morning. They made arrangements for our transportation to the airport, and we loved our driver also - Vincenzo! The hotel is close to the ferry, so when we went to Capri and also took a private tour to Amalfi and little towns, it was great to be so close. One thing I would recommend is getting an upper room, which capitalized on the spectacular room. Would definitely go to Buca again!!

Other than room size being a little smaller, the view made up for it!! That would definitely not deter me at all!

Very good location if arriving by water; small but lovely ocean view room; reception staff friendly; generous in-room mini-bar policy

Staff is friendly but doesn’t show guests around the rambling, historical property, or show what amenities/areas it offers (ironing room, hidden terraces, etc. — which the guests must discover on their own). Also, the hotel should consider doing something for guests when severe storms and torrential downpours wreck their holidays — games, hot chocolate, something. Weather is out of anyone’s control, obviously, but an upscale boutique hotel might show some creativity in caring for their guests during unfortunate events.

From check in to our final morning, the staff made us feel so welcomed and prioritized. Rosita at the front desk is the kindest host and absolutely elevated our stay, from showing us amenities to booking a great meal for our first night. Getting laundry done through the send out service was easy and access to the main beaches was as simple as walking outside. Breakfast each morning was delightful and the service was top-notch. Each time we left our room, even for a shot time, the linen would be replaced and the room straightened up by the amazing staff. Already planning our next trip!

The best hotel In Positano! Could not ask for a better hotel. It has the most amazing staff and service, beautiful Rooms, gorgeous views of the sea from the balcony of the room, spacious rooms with amazing amenities, the best breakfast and the perfect location. Positano is built into the hills and requires constantly going up and down huge flights of stairs. Location is everything if you want to have an enjoyable stay.This hotel is in the heart of the city so you do not have to go up and down stairs all day. You get the beautiful view from your room (we stayed on the fourth floor) and the perfect location. You are steps away from the beach, restaurants, shops, etc. you can walk up the steps to the road if needed as well. At night you can hear the waves when you sit on the balcony and can watch the sunset. The breakfast was incredible. Fresh juice, cappuccino, eggs, cheese, and every pastry you could ever imagine all made in house. The staff is ready to help with any need and bend over backwards to accommodate (and are just nice, wonderful people). The rooms are stocked daily with drinks which are included in your stay. The bathrooms had every amenity— toothbrushes and paste, shaving kits, etc. The bed was so comfortable and the balcony was perfect to watch the sunset at night. The doors open so you can feel the ocean breeze. They even give you fillip flops for the beach! 10/10 hotel. We routinely stay at luxury hotels and we can’t say enough good things about this hotel which was on par with those experiences.

We loved everything. Literally nothing negative

This is a great place to stay! The location is perfect right in front of the beach with no hassle to get to it. The staff is friendly and attentive! The breakfast was great and the terrace where they serve it with an amazing view to the ocean. It is worth booking a room with ocean view. They offer complimentary beach towels which was great as well. I traveled with my daughter and we had an amazing time. If ever back to Positano would definitely book a room here.

Enjoyed every bit of it. The hotel, the room, the food, breakfast was so good, ofcourse the location (can’t beat it for sure!) maybe 5 min away from the port and the staff was the cherry on the cake! Rosita made us feel at home during our entire stay. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Already thinking of going back next year!

I can’t really think of anything I didn’t like. It was definitely and enjoyable stay. They provided everything we needed. Full stock of toiletries, mini bar was refilled each day and was free too!

Lokacija je savrsena. Osoblje vise nego ljubazno, hotel ima slavnu i dugu tradiciju. Sobe i cijeli hotel su izuzetno cisti, cak sam prvi put dozivio da u hotelu dva puta dnevno ciste sobu i mijenjaju rucnike. Dorucak je jako ugodan i taman kakav treba biti po mom ukusu, Italija sa stilom. Sobe su preugodne, stari namjestaj, savrseno cisto i ocuvano. Pogled s terase za dorucak savrsen, najljepsi pogled na Positano. Definitivno hotel u koji se zelim vratiti jer su neocekivano ostavili predobar dojam.

Amazing location, the rooms are beautiful and fully stocked with everything you need, you have a beautiful view of the beach and the staff are extremely polite and helpful. Compared to the price of other hotels in the area we believe this was totally worth the price and even more so because you don’t have to climb stairs to get there from the beach and it’s so close to everything, it’s very convenient. We were just delighted with our stay and the staff even helped us guarding our bags while we explored the town a little more, all in all it was the best experience in a hotel at a the beach we had in Italy. Oh, and it has the breakfast included which is a great buffet!

Nothing really, we loved everything about our stay

The service was outstanding! Rosita at the front desk went above and beyond, even helping me plan my trip to the Path of the Gods and loaning me her hat. The restaurant was equally impressive. The breakfast buffet was above average, and Catello provided excellent wait service. I'll be dreaming of the chicken Parmesan for months to come.

Because of where the hotel is located, you are in the heart of everything. I had to buy earplugs to sleep because it gets very noisy. That is really my only complaint.
