The view from our room was fantastic. Breakfast was also really good and restaurant staff were very attentive.

The room we booked was no longer available when we arrived for checkin. The staff had moved us to another room which was not as nice. The gentleman at the concierge had a take it or leave it attitude. A very big thank you to Jose (Josephine) for coming to our rescue, bringing calmness and empathy to the situation and upgrading us to the wow room for the rest of our stay. She was absolutely delightful and made our stay extra special

The hotel is absolutely the best choice in Positano! Built in 1955, it retains the classic feel while being in perfect condition. The ocean view room is the best in the area , a view of the cliffs and ocean is stunning day and night. The staff are some of the nicest and most professional people you'll see in the hospitality sector. I can't thank them enough. The rooms are large and beautiful. The restaurant and poolside lounge is one of the best views in the area ....I would recommend it for people not staying in the hotel as well. Food and service was absolutely amazing! If you plan to visit the area, then Positano is the best spot and Poseidon is definitely the best hotel. I'm booking the same hotel and room in my next visit without even thinking.

Nothing . Everyone and everything was perfect.

I was bamboozled by the choice of hotels in Positano. it was a special holiday and I was hoping to have the best experience possible for our 2 day visit. I looked at all the high & mid range options. I had, in fact, booked a more expensive hotel when I came across a review for this hotel independently. I’m delighted I chose The Poseidon. This is a no fuss, authentically delightful vintage hotel. It’s not hung up on being overly cool or luxurious, which is refreshing and relaxing. The view from the balcony is amazing. Our room ( we luckily got a last minute upgrade to the Wow room) was gorgeous. The food was delicious, the pool and Tridente restaurant were faultless. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. it’s a short stroll down to the water. A winning hotel in my humble opinion.

No major dislikes.

The staff at Hotel Poseidon went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They helped me arrange several reservations and transportation which was very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was the best way to start our day! The beds were also extremely comfortable. My daughter and I were traveling alone and I always felt extremely safe. The location was perfect for all the activities we wanted to do. You can not get enough of the beautiful view from the restaurant and pool area.

My only complaint is that for the price we paid, our room was located next to the laundry room and below the outdoor restaurant. It was quite noisy each morning between the two. Our room was called a garden view, which meant there was not really a view at all from our room.

The owner and her staff are something to admire - probably the best hospitality we have ever had. Nothing was too much to ask of them, very willing to go the extra mile and very friendly/polite. The location is close to many shops, restaurants, and bars, yet high enough on the hill to be away from very bustling streets. We actually ended up loving the II Tridente restaurant/bar and the amenities of our suite that we spent most of our time relaxing at the hotel.

Everyone made us feel like family, Margot and Aldo in the front desk made everything happen for us, from reservations at the restaurant to getting us a great deal on a private boat, to even our transportation back to Rome, the staff by the pool was incredible also, thank you to Christain, pretty sure that was his name, he looks like a Italian KEN DOLL, can’t miss him 😂 also the property itself is located close to everything. Although you should prepare to takes some steps. But the beach is close by and shops and restaurants. Just want to say a big thank you again to everyone, we came for our anniversary and thinking of making it our annual spot to celebrate every year 🫶🏽

Loved everything

Perfect location for a mother daughter trip! Property was beautiful! We booked last minute, and stayed 4 nights, so we needed to move to different rooms to complete our stay. Stayed in a garden room and a city view room. Both are wonderful. Front desk went above and beyond! They handled dinner reservations and private car to Naples train station. The pool staff is extremely friendly and offers complementary appetizers the minute you sit down. Location was perfect in the center of Positano (not too high on the hill so we could walk the road or take the 300 steps into town)

The Poseidon hotel was such a wonderful experience. The location is perfect. Up and out of the way from the main village giving you a perfect view and still close to some lovely restaurants and shops. We had breakfast each morning having a delicious breakfast on the outdoor patio overlooking the city and the ocean. We also had dinner at their restaurant Il Tridente one night which was exceptional. Our server Alfredo was professional and warm and the dinner was truly one of the best we have ever had. We spent a few hours by the pool one day having cocktails and snacks. (Again with that VIEW!!!!) the room was clean and comfortable with a terrace overlooking the city) and lastly the front desk helped us out SO MUCH. They booked our car to and from the airport with an amazing company, helped us to book chairs at the perfect beach club, and even jumped in to help us rearrange our plans when a storm cancelled our boat trip one day. We were very spoiled by the staff, and the whole experience. I can’t say enough.

I can’t think of anything. If there is anything to note: I will say that it is not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for, and to me this was worth it.

5star hotel!! Top notch staff could not do enough for us! Gorgeous hotel! Our rooms exceeded our expectations They were spacious, immaculate with a breathtaking view from our balcony The breakfast was stupendous, with a wide variety of everything including freshly baked pasteries pies and bread every day. We will definitely highly recommend and stay here again

To access our room you had to walk outside for a short distance and in the rain it was inconvenient but still loved the place

Excellent location and views - high enough to get great views but not so high that you can’t get down to the main areas of restaurants by walking on the road (or the many stairs, if feeling so inclined). Very handy to have a pool in July.

Prices of food and drinks on site are on the high side but coming from New York it’s nothing particularly shocking. Rooms are smaller but the terraces make it feel roomier - terraces have great view of both sea and city
