We loved staying here. It was our first time to Positano. We went during the slower time of the year and we loved it. Less tourists, more locals. We had breakfast every morning on our balcony. Danilo was extremely helpful. We will definitely be back!

The taxis can be super pricy. To go anywhere it was at least 170 euros. Staying in positano for 8 days can be boring so if you venture out and find new things it’s so pretty. Also, the roads to positano are not for the weak of the stomach. I got so nauseous. So just beware of that!

Casa Caprile in Positano – an absolute dream come true! Our stay at Casa Caprile in April was more than just a vacation—it was pure magic! The apartment we stayed in was incredibly spacious and elegant but the real showstopper was the huge terrace with a heated jacuzzi pool—perfect for relaxing under the stars while gazing at the twinkling lights of Positano. And speaking of views—the panoramic vistas of the town and the Tyrrhenian Sea were breathtaking at any time of day*! Sunrise over the Amalfi Coast, painted in soft pastel hues, is a memory we’ll cherish forever. Every morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast delivered straight to our room*—fresh croissants, juicy fruit, aromatic coffee, and local delicacies made each day start perfectly. I wholeheartedly recommend Casa Caprile to anyone dreaming of a luxurious escape in one of Italy’s most beautiful corners. Every detail here is thoughtfully designed, making guests feel truly special. We can’t wait to return! 💙

We stayed for our honeymoon and were very kindly given a free upgrade to the Caprile Suite which was a beautiful suite with a balcony and terrace with hot tub. The staff were really welcoming and attentive, giving us everything we needed and more! We genuinely couldn’t fault it, our stay was perfect. The breakfast was delicious and we had a great selection to choose from. The suite had great facilities for tea and coffee, a minibar etc. We would love to return to Casa Caprile, it was the highlight of our trip to Italy, and we couldn’t recommend it enough.

Bit difficult to get to, up many stairs. However, we quickly came to realize that's the case for almost everywhere in Positano!

Yall, this is the one right here. From the time we arrived, until we checked out and beyond (more on that soon), the experience at Casa Caprile was truly amazing. The staff are so warm and friendly. We got to check in early as our room was ready. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, so pleased and even better than the pictures. It felt like luxury at an affordable price. The sea view was incredible. Omg. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful! You get a long list and they bring you whatever you desire, we felt like royalty! The location is also pretty close to a few restaurants with limited stairs, we loved Caffe Positano and booked a shuttle to dinner at Il Ritrivo. When they say somewhere is 500-1000 steps to the beach - they mean it. Positano is not for the elderly or children in my opinion because the buses are too unpredictable and you have to be able to climb steep stairs. Anyhow, after we checked out, our previously booked taxi service completely bailed on us. The front desk Queen called us a new one and it came in less than 20 minutes. Casa Caprile goes above and beyond. You will love staying here.

Amazing hotel, very smart and stylish with lovely spacious rooms and a fabulous private terrace. The sea view from our room was outstanding and the private terrace was a joy to have each day. Having breakfast served to your room to enjoy on this terrace was delightful, absolutely amazing. The breakfasts were superb, plentiful and perfect, really could not be better. The hotel and rooms are well styled, clean and immaculately kept. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak very good English. It is a long way up from the beach and main Positano town area, but you can walk down steadily via the road with minimal steps in 30 minutes or so and get a local internal bus, which runs every 30 minutes, back up the hill and stops almost right by the hotel. There is more to walk around and see than you realize around the hotel location on that side of the hill with some fantastic restaurants that have stunning views. The following restaurants were close by and are all amazing: Luna at Villa Magia, Il Fornillo, Mediterraneo, Hotel Da Gabrisa. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Positano, you will not be disappointed with its rooms, breakfasts or it’s location. We stayed and enjoyed 5 fabulous nights here.

More instructions for the coffee machine would be helpful, which we couldn’t operate but that is my only suggestion & comment. Everything else is perfect.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Caprile Positano! We stayed in the junior suite. It featured 2 outdoor areas, including a balcony with the most incredible ocean views. Our favourite part of staying here was the breakfasts served daily - always so fresh and beautifully presented, which we enjoyed eating in our fluffy robes and slippers, because, why not! We also found staff always very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

This place is quite high up so be prepared for the stairs! It's worth the walk up though, for the view. I can't really fault the place. We loved it all and was better than we expected.

The breakfast was excellent, the room was spacious, clean and has beautiful decor. The balcony and view are very nice. and it was a quiet and peaceful location. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed walking to nearby restaurants, and to the main part of Positano to the shops and to the beach. The location provides beach towels too. The location was helpful with our luggage on arrival, as we were dropped off by a driver who picked us up from Naples airport. Friendly tips: If you arrive by ferry just hire the porters to take your luggage for you to the hotel. We hired the porters to take our luggage down the hill to the ferry when we left Positano.

:) there is nothing not to like!! It wasn't a problem for us at all, but it is up in the hills of Positano which we already knew. This is how Positano is and is part of the beauty of Positano. :)

To start, when reading reviews, I believe context is always helpful. So, for context, I travel frequently and have lifetime status with Marriott. I was hesitant to stay in a villa because of my familiarity with the services provided by hotels. Casa Caprile was nothing less than amazing! We stayed in the King Suite with spa bath (outdoor plunge pool). The rooms (multiple) were very clean and comfortable, there is a huge bedroom with an additional balcony, the AC worked perfectly, the wash room was ideal, the elevator was key, the kitchen was cozy...but the view and the patio were just unbelievable. We had reservations every night, but opted to get carry-out and had dinner on our patio because the view so so great. Sarceno d'Oro restaurant was a 5 minute walk and FANTASTIC. Also, we were VERY close to a super expensive hotel, and the majority of their patio's weren't big enough for even 2 of our chairs! Again, context, we were perfectly content relaxing and enjoying the views and never felt like we were missing anything by not venturing out. We did venture out for some sightseeing and a couple boat tours with Amalfi Sails, which were also amazing. Our villa was HUGE, plenty of room to spread out, impossible for 2 people to feel like we were on crammed into a room. We were close enough to the city center (15 minutes leisurely walk) and the steps coming back were an easy to moderate work out if you didn't stick to the street. Watch out for the ants on the handrails. The location was perfect! The Hosts....WOW....they were GREAT! Very communicative and pleasant, always checking in on us and even scheduled transfers from Sorrento and back to Rome. The breakfast...also GREAT!! In closing, Casa Caprile FAR exceeded our expectations. If it's available, BOOK IT! Casa Caprile may be the best hotel I've ever stayed in! It was a perfect experience from start to finish. When we first walked through the door, we were warmly welcomed and we were told that we were upgraded to their king suite! When we walked through the doors, my cousin and I nearly cried at how beautiful it was. It had a beautiful kitchen, large living room, and wonderful king suite bedroom with huge windows and small balcony. My favorite part of this room, however, was the massive balcony overlooking Positano, with its own private hot tub. I could've stayed in this room for our entire trip, which is NEVER something I'd say, but everything was so perfect. Plus, the breakfasts that are brought directly your room: magical! Breakfast was so fresh and being able to eat while looking at the view was next level. Location was wonderful; a quick walk to some lovely restaurants, and only about a 4 minute walk from the local bus stop. To make it even better, every single person from Casa Caprile that we interacted with was so friendly and helpful. They were genuinely happy to see us, and we never felt like a bother when asking questions. After check out, they stored our luggage for us until our taxi came. They even gave us one final espresso & bottles of water for our long journey back to Naples. I've never felt more welcomed at a hotel before. Because of all these reasons, I will only stay at Casa Caprile when in Positano in the future. We're already looking at a 2025 trip, so I hope to stay here again soon! (We stayed in mid-March 2024)
