The property is perfectly located with stunning views and accessibility to everything you’ll want in Positano! It has convenient valet parking which allows you to drop your things right at the door, which was important to us as we were traveling with a baby. The staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional… From the moment we arrived and they helped unload,to when I got sick the last day of the trip and they all went out of their way to help us. I got a wonderful signature massage that blended different techniques for ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation. The masseuse even made me an herbal tea from leaves he went out of his way to find when I wasn’t feeling well. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great location in Positano with wonderful views. Amazingly attentive and friendly staff. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore the Amalfi Coast. Great location to the better restaurants in Positano, and a short stroll down the road (or faster- down the steps) to the ferry port to take a boat to other towns and Capri. The hotel is built on the mountainside, so to enter from the main road you take an elevator. It was different but cool. Definitely worth the price!

Exceptional. This was really 5* experience in all aspects. Room was truly amazing with wonderful view, very clean, spotless service, quality bathroom amenities products, every day small sweet surprise in the room, large selection of breakfast, high quality food, short distance to the beach, marina and city centre. Special thanks to Mrs. Firdaus from the Reception for very nice and highly professional approach.

Hotel was amazing! Four stars but should be 5 stars. Staff was amazing from the girls at the front desk to the breakfast staff. We loved all of the extra- upgraded room, welcome drink, cake and Dom perignon, cookies as a gift! All these little things made for a once in a lifetime memory. Thank you!

If I could give this place a 15/5 stars I would! We had the absolute BEST time staying at Hotel Montemare. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, the staff treated us like royalty. Ana, Federica, and literally every single staff member was incredibly kind and helpful. They did everything from booking us rides to giving us recommendations and anything in between. They sang me happy birthday and sent beautiful flowers and a sweet card to my room. We got in super late and they had food sent to our room even though the kitchen was closed & we had a very early flight and they packed us a to go breakfast. The little things made all the difference. They all made our stay so special and I’m forever grateful for the wonderful experience they gave us. If the incredible staff wasn’t enough, the hotel and our room was absolutely stunning. I’m convinced we had the best view in Positano. The room was huge modern and the hot tub in the balcony was AMAZING after a long day of walking. We had breakfast every morning on the beautiful terrace and a there wine tasting every single night. The hotel is also right on the Main Street and is walking distance to all the shopping and the main beach, Spiaggia Grande. The view from the restaurant in the hotel, Il Capitano is absolutely breathtaking and the food is so so good. I couldn’t say enough good things about thing place and I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE going to stay in Positano.

There was not a single thing that I did not like

Everything! The staff are just amazing, the rooms were stunning! Specifically Chiara and Mary at reception! They were warm and always ready to go over and beyond! We were treated like movie stars. The restaurant view was beyond amazing!

At night there were a few noises down the hall and again early in the am. A pool would have been amazing but I knew going in that there wasn’t one. The jacuzzi was quite warm and not much relief as it was a heatwave in Positano! Would have been nicer to have a wall between the shower and the room :)

This was definitely our favorite spot we stayed at during our 10 days in Italy. The hotel itself was beautiful - from the lobby to the terrace to the room. We loved the free wine tasting before dinner and the food at both the buffet and the main restaurant was amazing.

We took the ferry and didn't realize there were a million stairs to get up to the hotel - so make sure you get a porter to bring your bags. We didn't and it was a rough (and sweaty) journey to the hotel.

The room was clean, the staff members were nice and helpful, we received a lot of nice gifts (welcome drinks, cookies, free drinks from the mini bar, a bottle of champagne, and sweets), and the hotel hosted a happy hour each day with wine on the house. The location was perfect. We truly appreciate the service, and had a lovely stay.

The property was wonderfully clean. We had a queen room with a hot tub and the facilities were worth every penny. The location is literally perfect! It’s an 7/8 minute walk to Positano beach and their private beach. The bus stop is also very close if you wanted to go to Amalfi/Ravello/Sorrento/Praeno.

EVERYTHING! the views, the property, the rooms and the service were all top notch! We are not easily impressed and we were simply amazed. It was an unforgettable experience. Completely worth the money. We can’t wait to go back. The breakfast might have been one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had, including executive floors. The 5-7pm wine time was a lovely touch. The staff could not have been nicer. You’re close enough to town square but not in the middle of the chaos of Positano in June.
