What a gem of a stay in Positano. We were lucky enough to spend an entire week at Palazzo Talamo and if the view from the balcony wasn't enough, the staff were helpful and the daily breakfast in our room made our stay so nice that we never wanted to leave! We had a Superior Double room which had a covered balcony and a larger updated bathroom with bath and shower. The hotel is located literally on the road AND a set of stairs, making it convenient to walk down to the beach or the shopping and other restaurants either way. You do need to get your luggage down a small set of stairs to the lobby, but there's an elevator to the rooms after that. The room also has a safe. It's a solid 15 minute walk to the La Sponda bus stop, but the walk isn't too hard if you take the road. (Since there are only 2 bus stops, it's the nearest one.) We'd stay here again in a heartbeat if we're ever lucky enough to come back to Positano!

There isn't anything serious to dislike here. We would have loved a bit more shelving/storage space since the room definitely has space for it (a nightstand, wall shelf in the room or bathroom would have been great) but we made do using our bags as tables.

An amazing stay at Palazzo Talamo in Positano. Although the room decor might not be everyone's style, the room is spacious and clean, and the balcony view of the sea is breaktaking! Breakfast is included and served to your room daily so you can enjoy it on the balcony. We also watched the sunrise and sunset from our balconies. The hotel is only a short walk via the winding downhill road to the main area and beach in Positano, but you can also use the stairs which are directly next to the hotel if you're short on time. Not too far from the main area, but still convenient. The hotel is also directly opposite Da Vincenzo, a popular restaurant in Positano, if you're looking for a good dining spot. The staff were friendly and were always on hand to help. A true highlight of our time in Italy!

Nothing to dislike, a truly amazing stay.

This was such a beautiful hotel! The location was perfect. Walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops, and only a 10 min walk to the port and beaches! The breakfast every morning was delicious, and we had the most beautiful view! The staff were so attentive and made us so comfortable! We will definitely be back!

The only negative thing I have is that the bed is very stiff! But that would not stop me from staying here again!

Perfect view from the balcony-absolutely beautiful. Location is perfect, close to the best restaurants. Clean, nice rooms . The staff is exceptional - so kind and friendly, also very helpful with anything you need. Bring a loofah to Italy - no washcloths!!

No dislikes! It was great! I’d definitely stay here again. Advice for arrival- if you choose not to get a porter to take your luggage to the hotel, pull it up the hill on the street. Do not carry it up the 364 steps. There are only a few steps at the church if you use the street!

Alla did a wonderful job welcoming us into Positano. She was kind and helpful as she showed us where the stairs to the beach were so convenient and how to order breakfast. We had a room with a beautiful balcony and the view was breathtaking for sunrises and sunsets and stargazing with bottles of wine. Boats on the water were entertaining to watch. We did pull ourselves away from the room to go down to the beach and take a ferry to Amalfi. We highly recommend Il capitan restaurant which is just steps away from hotel. This place is so special.

We ordered too much breakfast because we didn’t know how much

The room was very clean and the staff bent over backwards to help us with the things we needed, especially Chiara and the woman who runs the place, whose name I can't remember. Breakfast on the balcony, greatest idea ever!! Our balcony was huge and we spent a lot of time on it. The room had a big cubby space for our empty luggage storage.

The steps were brutal, and this hotel is only halfway up to the top of the hill. I wasn't a fan of the green bed or the bedding, as I prefer crisp white sheets (it was a colorful comforter and a light beige sheet on top). The bathroom was small, as was the shower. I opted to put my makeup on using the table and chair on the balcony, perfect lighting and lots of space.

Wow, the view from our room and our little balcony was spectacular. Sitting out on the balcony enjoying our breakfast in the mornings was one of the highlights of our trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was a great location for easy drop off and pickup and close to everything we needed.

We loved everything but if I had to be picky and say something I would say that the room was a little small and crowded and the bed was a little harder that what we like, but otherwise it was very clean. The bathroom was also a little small and there wasn't a vanity where you could place your toiletries. Also the Hotel didn't offer an iron as they had a laundry service, but I didn't want to pay E30 to get something ironed.

Such beautiful property in the perfect location. It is a bit of a walk up the hill but the views are so incredible. Our room had a beautiful balcony where the breakfast would be served every morning. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There are many great restaurants very close to the hotel. It takes around 15 minutes to walk to the beach. Although it is steep it’s a beautiful walk and was no problem at all for us. Hotel was very clean, cute and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Rooms have a great view and the breakfast in your room is a nice touch

It’s important to know that to get to the property requires climbing up steep stairs for about 10 minutes. Just a warning for those who didn’t know.

The staff were all accommodating, friendly, attentive and super helpful with everything. Chiara was there when we checked in and was amazing throughout our stay! The location of the hotel was superb and the view from our balcony was breathtaking! They bring you a preordered breakfast every morning to enjoy while overlooking the ocean. We had a magnificent time!
