Highly recommend! The hotel is in a perfect location, situated far enough away from the ferry craziness but not up a thousand steps like other reasonably priced hotels. There is everything you need close by. I am a solo female traveler and felt very welcome and safe here. If you’re doing the beautiful Path of Gods hike (which if you’re fit, you should!) definitely ask the receptionist for guidance as she provided a terrific idea I didn’t consider online (bus to Nocelle vs going all the way to Bollermo).

The only thing I could critique is the showers are very small without a place to put personal toiletries but I think this is typical of Italy. I am petite but I am not sure my tall / broad shouldered husband could have fit in the shower if he was with me on this trip!

The staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. They did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room had multiple shelves which acted as a dresser and also proved excellent for keeping our small bags off the floor.The location was excellent! A 10/10. Very central to restaurants, stores, and the beach.

There were too many stairs to get to the reception area and the rooms and only a very small elevator which is meant for one person and a suitcase. This was sometimes inconvenient as we had more than one person who needed to use it.

From the time of booking, the staff at Hotel Bougainville were extremely responsive and helpful! Salvatore answered ALL of my questions. He made arrangements for our transfers for 5 people from Rome to Positano (Stopping off at Pompeii) and to the Naples airport. Rino our driver was the best! (Another review on him through Tripadvisor with Luxury Limosuine and Taxi) Salvatore booked our guide for Pompeii and arranged our private boat to explore the Almalfi coast - all amazing experiences. While there, Imma and Angelo and the other staff were kind, friendly and offered so many tips. There was someone at the desk 24 hours a day. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable (great air conditioning), while the gathering area for breakfast (a portion is open-air) was a great gathering space in the evening for our family. We could even order drinks and cocktails that were very inexpensive. The location is PRIME! Walkable to all things - short distance down to the beach (considering the many hills and steps in all of the area and short distance to tons of eateries. The breakfast included everything you can think of - eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, pastries, fresh fruit and juices and so much more. They even arranged to-go boxes for us the morning we left since we had to leave at 3am. Angela gave us tips on the Path of the Gods hike - which was breathtaking! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering!

We loved everything about our stay.

Beautiful hotel ideally located in Positano. Amazing staff. Salvatore and Imma were wonderful hosts and extremely helpful in answering questions, planning a boat tour and restaurant recommendations. Excellent email communication before our visit. Breakfast each morning had broad array of choices and will miss my morning cappuccino. Every staff member was friendly and attentive. If arriving by ferry important to use the porter service as Salvatore recommended.

Property no complaints Advice - Positano is wonderful but might not be suitable for those with mobility limitations.

The hotel was very close to everywhere we wanted to go. Situated right in the centre, we were able to walk only a few minutes to all the nice restaurants and the beach. Most importantly, I cannot say enough about the incredible staff and exceptional service that made our experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the rest of our stay. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the front desk staff offering helpful information about the hotel's amenities and local attractions. One of the standout moments was when we returned to our room on my mum’s birthday to find a bottle of very nice prosecco and a handwritten note from the hotel team. It was a thoughtful gesture that truly made mine and my mum's day. The hotel concierge was incredibly knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. They even called ahead to make bookings for restaurants with the best table! Overall, the exceptional staff at Hotel Bougainville made our stay truly memorable. Their genuine friendliness, attention to detail, and dedication to customer satisfaction set this hotel apart. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience with a personal touch. I can't wait to return and experience their outstanding hospitality again. Everything was good!

1) The hotel is very well located, just a 7-minute walk from the beach and close to small shops. 2) The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I celebrated my birthday during my stay, and they surprised me with a small cake and a candle at breakfast. When I returned at the end of the day, I found a bottle of prosecco waiting for me in my room. These thoughtful gestures truly made my day. Additionally, the staff is always ready to offer recommendations and assist with trip planning. 3) The rooms were cute and always clean.

The location was wonderful. 5 minute walk to the beach and truly in the heart of everything. Walking left or right out of the hotel could lead you to some of the most popular Positano attractions. Staff was amazing, they were so friendly and set up taxis to/from train stations for easy transportation. They also helped us book a private sunset boat tour which was one of the highlights of our trip.

Rooms are much smaller than they appear online. With two suitcases and two personal items it was so difficult to open our bags and move around the room. My boyfriend and I were ontop of each other if one of us wasn’t in the bed. The bathroom was also extremely tight with very limited counter space. We made it work but for almost $400 a night be expected a bit bigger / nicer rooms. I guess that’s what you get in Positano since everything is expensive.

The hotel is in a great location you can walk to almost anywhere and there are a lot of great restaurants and shops in the area. The staff was great Imma met us w open arms and warm welcome. We were early and they held our bags as we walked around and grabbed some lunch. They even had great suggestions on Resturants and excursions which we booked through them. Highly recommend this place.

I really can’t think of a reason not to like it. Breakfast was included and they had everything we needed. If anything the price was more than I wanted to pay but still was cheaper than most places in Positano

Excellent view over Positano from room 10 from bedroom , balcony and even shower has a view Good sized balcony. Breakfast was very good with large selection. Rooms were clean and serviced daily. Beach towels were provided. Location was great. All staff were very friendly. Very much enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Accommodation was quite expensive but everything in positano is expensive . We spent more on a room with a view over town and it definately made our stay so if you can I would 100% do it. Very pretty at night with lights.

The location is excellent and in the heart of Positano - close to the beach, close to the shops, and an easy walk to some of the best restaurants. The staff are amazing - so sweet and friendly, and go above and beyond to make your stay worthwhile. They were so helpful to us for booking airport transportation, excursions and more. The breakfast is also such a sweet touch in the morning and allowed us to start our days with ease. The rooms are small but you are really just there to sleep, and it is expected for Europe. You can't beat the price and the location and all the help offered to us - thank you for a lovely stay!
