We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Positano. The facilities were very well maintained, and the room was spacious and clean, perfect for our family of three. The private terrace was generously sized, and both the room and bathroom were spotless. The view from the terrace, especially during the morning and evening, was absolutely worth every penny. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which was fresh, varied, and delicious. And of course, tasty coffee as well. A special thanks to Riccardo (hope I got the name right!), who kindly assisted us throughout our stay from check-in to check-out, with warm and professional service. He made our experience even more memorable. Thanks a lot.

As with many places in Positano, the hotel is located at a higher elevation, so be prepared for some uphill walking. However, a nearby bus stop and small supermarket made things very convenient. Overall, we had no complaints and would gladly stay here again on a future visit.

Beautiful and comfortable room, the bed is amazing, really nice bathroom and tasty breakfast to enjoy on the terrace. The view from the balcony or the terrace was amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful with info regarding The Path of God trail or good restaurants. Even gave us some prosecco because it was my husband’s birthday 😍

Not the hotel’s fault - We booked this hotel to be at a higher altitude so that we could have a nice view, but that comes with a cost - the hotel is far away from the center and from any restaurant. You have to walk a lot to get something to eat and when your feet hurt (after hiking) is not nice at all - a lot of stairs that will eventually make your knees hurt really bad. I wouldn’t recommend it for older people or if you have issues with your knees.

Great location, with private parking event though was charged extra at €20/day (value for money considering most places along the Amalfi cost charge €7/hr, and, they even allowed us to keep our car there till quite late on the day of check out. The hotel itself is blessed with a lift straight to the rooms and reception. The staff were very, very friendly and helpful. If you are able to walk it is quite easy to get to the main centre of town by foot , despite the many steps down, the way back is a bit more challenging but doable. There is also a bus service available. The breakfast served was very nice. And the overall experience was very pleasant and relaxed. Thanks.

The breakfast every day was awesome, with a lot of variety in its offerings. The location was easy to navigate using our feet and the bus line. Ricardo, who was our host for most of the trip, was fun, knowledgeable, and made an amazing cappuccino! Gaetano was also an incredible help making reservations for us. Both gentlemen were helpful and quick to assist when needed. Housekeeping staff were also kind and did a great job keeping us comfortable.

There was nothing we didn't like!

From start to finish our stay at Il Moro exceeded our expectations. The room with the balcony was stunning, and we were happily surprised with the additional private “reading room” which we used to store our luggage. The breakfast buffet was fresh and the variety was plentiful. The location of the hotel was central yet not in the centre of town where all the tourist traps were, perfect location for our stay. Riccardo was so kind and helpful in arranging our taxis and provided great knowledge and suggestions during our stay. The accommodation was clean and we received daily fresh towels and clean sheets. We will definitely be returning to Il Moro! X

Nothing to dislike!

Absolutely stunning views over Positano. Very clean and beautifully decorated place. The breakfast is pretty good as well (however don’t expect chips or bacon). Riccardo is an amazing host, very helpful, positive and friendly. We are very happy that we stayed exactly here.

Positano is all about steps and uphill climbing. For some it might be tricky to climb the steps if you’re coming from the port or city centre. For sure it’s not the downside of this property.

Amazing views and great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond for us. A beautiful little spot in Positano with everything you need. Of course there are many stairs to get to the main town but that is Positano and you will get stairs not matter what, however, you can get to this hotel by car and there are no stairs when to your room

The air conditioning is very noisy and we opted to sleep without it on because of this.

Breakfast was so lovely! There was a good variation, so something for everyone to eat. Staff were really really friendly, always happy and willing to help. Really good location with a stunning view. Steps to and from the beach were manageable and the option of the bus was there if not. Our room was a really good size and it a was very clean hotel!! Me and my partner absolutely loved our stay and hope we can come again one day😊

No negatives, we had an amazing time.

Really nice room, clean and luxurious with great bathroom and comfortable bed. Parking available if requested (essential if driving as parking elsewhere limited). Amazing service by Ricardo- so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we had a great time. He organised restaurant dining with transfers. Getting to the Beach and market requires a short walk on the main road and then 300 steps- steps not an issue for me, my wife and 9yr old daughter but we had to go in single file down the road. Lovely breakfast, great coffee with amazing views. We felt truly spoilt by Ricardo. A lovely stay

The location is very high up positano. If you don’t want to go by so many stairs everyday is not a good place for you. We were good but is very tiring
