From start to finish our stay at Il Moro exceeded our expectations. The room with the balcony was stunning, and we were happily surprised with the additional private “reading room” which we used to store our luggage. The breakfast buffet was fresh and the variety was plentiful. The location of the hotel was central yet not in the centre of town where all the tourist traps were, perfect location for our stay. Riccardo was so kind and helpful in arranging our taxis and provided great knowledge and suggestions during our stay. The accommodation was clean and we received daily fresh towels and clean sheets. We will definitely be returning to Il Moro! X

Nothing to dislike!

Absolutely stunning views over Positano. Very clean and beautifully decorated place. The breakfast is pretty good as well (however don’t expect chips or bacon). Riccardo is an amazing host, very helpful, positive and friendly. We are very happy that we stayed exactly here.

Positano is all about steps and uphill climbing. For some it might be tricky to climb the steps if you’re coming from the port or city centre. For sure it’s not the downside of this property.

Really nice room, clean and luxurious with great bathroom and comfortable bed. Parking available if requested (essential if driving as parking elsewhere limited). Amazing service by Ricardo- so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we had a great time. He organised restaurant dining with transfers. Getting to the Beach and market requires a short walk on the main road and then 300 steps- steps not an issue for me, my wife and 9yr old daughter but we had to go in single file down the road. Lovely breakfast, great coffee with amazing views. We felt truly spoilt by Ricardo. A lovely stay

The location is very high up positano. If you don’t want to go by so many stairs everyday is not a good place for you. We were good but is very tiring

Perfect stuff , so hospitality , when we come they offer us with beer and coffe , in this crazy driving area , thay have huge parking space . Soo great hotel . View is amazing ! Not to far by walking , easy way is going by street , also on back is stairs , to beach is 10 min , we are going up and down for two days 4 times , also one time after hangover , and that is really dont hard .

Ricardo was amazing & so hospitable. The location was perfect, easy to get to (for the Amalfi coast) but also just enough out of the chaos to get the serene feeling we were searching for. Everything was so thoughtful & they even packed us a breakfast to go before our early travel day on check out! They went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home! Cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Il Moro di Positano had a very central location to the main town, just a short walk to all the cafes, restaurants, bars & spiagga grande - perfect location, beautiful views. this hotel has 6 rooms only, so it was very intimate & romantic - which was perfect as we was on our honeymoon. the staff are amazing, the manager Riccardo goes above and beyond to ensure you have the best trip & is very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel

Lovely hotel. I liked the location, though it requires a bit of climbing, there's a bus stop few meters away. Given that the hotel is a bit uphill, it's not as crowdy and noisy around it, which we really appreciated. The view from the hotel is also worth mentioning

Nothing really to mention here. The only thing that some might not like is the fact that the hotel is not exactly in the center, but the walk to the center is not that long and, as mentioned above, there's a bus stop very close to it.

The room was gorgeous and had lots of nice details. The bathroom was a great size and shower was the best shower we had in the 10 days across Capri and the Amalfi. Bed was comfy and breakfast was lovely. I actually left behind a full drawer of clothes and they kindly posted it to me in London so a huge shout out to the team for doing this for me - thank you, thank you!!

Small thing but I didn't love the purple highlights in the room (purple throw, purple cushions) and I think they could improve the decor by going neutral. It would be nice to have some hot breakfast options as well. Please keep in mind it's a steep walk up the hotel so you have to be fit to walk it, otherwise you'll need to catch a bus/taxi.

This hotel has an amazing view of the sea and the town of Positano. The location is great with about a 10 minute walk to the heart of the town. Only half a dozen rooms so the very friendly staff can give you undivided attention. The breakfast has a lot of options and is very good

Since this is a small hotel, there are not many amenities, but that's not why one would stay here anyway. Very limited parking and access is a bit difficult but it is a charming and amazing place to stay.
