The location of this place was amazing. It was just steps outside the main shopping streets on the main road into town. It had a little patio where we ate breakfast each morning. The air conditioner worked very well which was essential as we were there during a huge heat wave. For the price, it was a great value compared to other options in the area. *this is not a negative, but this is someone’s home and there is only one room. While the host is used to it, we felt bad walking through her kitchen/home each time we wanted to come and go.

My wife and I stayed at La Mammola for a night. We did not realize that this was a private room (with attached bathroom and a private balcony with a great view) in a local's real house (like Airbnb rooms). However, we were very glad that we had a chance to spend the night here. Their hospitality was great, accommodated our early check-in, room was clean and the best part was the breakfast, which was on par with luxury hotels. To top it off, it's just 5 mins walk from the port + beach on a very happening street of positano (with the added advantage of no noise coming in the room). I really felt the price was too low for the service and the location of this unit, but I'm not going to complain about that!

We usually stay in hotels but this was very different. Felt very special to stay with Tina & Pino. They were lovely. The location is perfect, the room was large enough and was clean and comfortable. The little terrace was great to sit & relax with a glass of wine. Tina made us a fabulous breakfast in the morning. Great value for money.

The only issue was the shower head wouldn't stand up on it's own. Not a big issue really.

The property is located in the heart of Positano near restaurants and shops. The room is in someone’s home, but has a lock on the door and a terrace. Breakfast was included and consisted of cappuccino (delicious!), croissants with butter and jam, yogurt and sweet bread. We were late getting to the property, (we got off on the wrong bus stop), and the owner was very nice about it. She recommended a restaurant for dinner and her daughter organized a car transfer to Ravello for us the next day. It was a comfortable stay.

It wasn’t a problem, but the toilet had a small leak. We told the owner so she could look into it before the next guest arrived.

Positano is probably the most expensive town on the Amalfi coast and it's quite overbooked most of the time, even in the fall. So, considering the average accommodation prices there, La Mammola is a good deal. Nothing fancy, just a plain decent room with a nice terrace where you can rest after enjoying Positano for a full day. If you want something posh, go ahead and spend hundreds of € for a hotel room with a pool and a view but this is just a great option for a couple of globetrotters who are in Positano to explore it and enjoy what it has to offer. The location is top notch, very close to the bus station where you'd arrive from Sorrento and also close to the beach and porto.

I stayed at the apartment and loved it - it was a top highlight of my trip. I felt like a true local instead of a tourist. Amenities such as a full kitchen and washing machine plus a rooftop where I sat and watched the sky changed colours was wonderful. Location is 10/10 - you’re in the centre of it all with the excellent cafes, delis and bakeries at your doorstep. Staff were lovely and communication was great.

Large comfortable and clean room with large terrace. The family are very welcoming and available to help you with travel problem. They wait for my bag delivery while I walked the path of the gods. The breakfast was more substantial than most with yogurt and cake extra.

My bed sloped a tiny bit to the left. There was a new topper but I could feel the slope. I think the bed frame had been repaired. But it was still comfortable.

Its in Positano, at the main street, 5 minutes to the beach and the action., what more to that, right? It has a huge, although a very chaotic terrace, which looks over the hill, not the sea. Given how Positano has turned into most bustling tourist location, it is a good value. Very sweet old lady/host, feels like a relative, although not a word of English possible.

Other then the 40-50 years very basic old room/bathroom and huge and chaotic terrace, I believe shared with hosts and others, nothing else is offered. No kitchen corner or utensils, not even glasses in case you want to have afternoon aperitif or even your own dinner. Room is dark, bathroom and shower from the 60ies. Breakfast is Italian: mostly packaged supermarket sweets, accompanied generously by coffee. This place has such a potential, could be a first rate paradise, if only updated and improved a little.

It's a private house that offers a separate room (with its own bathroom and a terrace) to the guests and the breakfasts are prepared by the owner. It's perfectly located though, in the very centre of Positano - there'll be no steps to get there with your luggage and you're only 5 minutes from the beach!

Lovely room with a balcony! Not modern but doesn’t need to be it’s got character it’s homely we loved our stay here! Staff were so welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was great! Location was great would definitely recommend staying here also Incredibly affordable
