For the price this is a great place to stay in Nakuru. Rooms clean but on the small side. Hot shower. The staff were lovely & friendly. Unfortunately we didn't have time to stay for our breakfast. The location was great for us too.

Not many parking spaces, but we just hot dropped off so was okay for us. Calling the reception before you could call the lift was a bit annoying but I understand why they do this as there are shops on the lower floors & it stops people who are not guests coming up. The toilet in the bathroom was in a really strange place, too close to the wall for legs.

Good location in the very busy market area. Shops, restaurants etc. in walking distance. Room and bathroom had been refurbished and comfort added. Very friendly staff. Opulent breakfast. Good value for money.

Some minor things: Due to the location, the rooms can be noisy, especially those with a good view. Bathrooms are narrow and equipped with automatically quickly closing taps. Handwashing etc. becomes a challenge. Mirror mounted aside of the washbasin.

This place is amazing. We have absolutely no complaints. Most reviews initially indicated that there would be heavy noise but that's not the case. Instead, we really appreciated the fact that it was in the centre of CBD. Everything was close and easily accessible. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Purity, who assisted us in every way. Great place with reasonable value.

Perfect city location right in front of the Matatu bus terminal. Very pleasant personnel - after we had a complaint about noisy room neighboirs, it was suggested by the owner that we get a different (and bigger) room. Breakfast as described by others very delicious - though rather a brunch (not necessarily continental breakfast). The personnel was also very helpful for tourist attractions and they helped us printing a document.

I highly recommend this hotel. The value is very good for the price. The staff was great. Daniel and the rest of the team were very helpful and attentive. From the cleaning staff to the kitchen staff and security guard everything was great. The shower gets nice and hot at night while more of a warm shower in the morning. The location is very close in walking distance to Naivas and other great stores and restaurants. The room had good tv and pretty good bedding. The room was cleaned everyday and they provided a free water each time. The free breakfast was very good and large in serving. You get mixed fruits, cereal and milk, your choose style of eggs, pancakes or toast, sweet potatoes, sausage, mixed vegetables, warm chai or choice of coffee and fresh squeezed juice. After my first two breakfast I had to request smaller portions as they do not shy away on helping fill you before a long day out in Nakuru.

The Moonlight Hotel is centrally located in Nakuru CBD, making access from the stage for long-distance matatus easy. Moreover, the staff service was exceptional, especially from Daniel at the front desk; he helped arrange for a top floor room and assisted with transportation within and around Nakuru. Restaurant was nice, with relatively decent value food. Very good chapati and sukuma wiki; main dishes were nice as well. Nice views also over the chaos of the city below. Room was small but cozy and the warm shower was a real treat for those of us used to cold showers in Kenya.

Even from the top floor, the noise from the city below was indeed persistent, but in a way it also added to the charm, seeing the hustle and bustle from several stories above.

Staff members, especially a gentleman called Daniel, were very friendly and professional. The rooms were clean, neat and very nice. Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is right in the middle of town, and that can be a downside for someone looking for serenity. But that is a plus for someone using public transport since the hotel is right by the matatu stage.

Great central location right next to the place where all the matatus leave from and the train station. The room is clean and has all you need, the staff are super friendly and go out of their way to help and the breakfast (and dinner) was dead tasty.

The rooms are a little on the small side (especially bathroom) but it's a very minor complaint, particularly for the price.

The location is really central, which also comes with the sounds and many people on the streets. During the evening we could hear the matatu station and many shops with loud music close by. That was the only con of this place

Central area to visit the lakes and national parks in the region. Lots of local shopping and food options, busy but not as crowded as Nairobi. I went for the cheaper room but the bed was comfortable and the rom size was fine. Breakfast is so good and filling! I actually had to ask them to give me less food for breakfast, I couldn't finish it all. Dinners at the hotel were also delicious and was the only time I had ice offered to me in Kenya. There's a small parking area for your driver when you're picked up/dropped off.

I was fine but sometimes the elevator wasn't working. So just a concern if you have mobility issues. Since the hotel entrance/lobby is a few stories up, you have to pay attention to the shopping entrances to find the hotel. I picked the small and cheap room so bathroom space was a little tight and required some maneuvering.
