The view is exceptional, with a clear view of the 9 arches bridge. Senavi, the owner, was really helpful and came to pick up our luggage at the intersection, as the guesthouse is only accessible by Tuk Tuk. Walking to the 9 arches bridge was 5 minutes via a small trail. Tip: From the homestay, you can walk stage 16 of the Pekoe trail to Demodora. Fantastic and 'easy' walk through the countryside between fields and tea gardens. Return is 15 minutes by train from Demodora to Ella over the famous bridge!

We should have stayed longer ;-) Don't be misled by the price of the homestay. It is low not because of the quality but because of the owners' mindset.

The owner and his family are great people. They prepared delicious breakfasts and dinners, arranged for laundry, drived us in tuk tuks for us to be able to see (and walk and swim in) the most of beautiful Ella - the owner drove us to trailheads of Ella Rock, Ravana Waterfalls and Secret Waterfall. The place is conveniently located just 5 mins walk from 9 Arches Bridge (which you can see from your terrace) and it is also great starting point of trail to Little Adam´s Peak. It is very peaceful and we slept like babies. Nearby Ella is more noisy and can get crazy at nights. Ella center is few minutes on tuktuk from accommodation, which is very convenient. All in all, we had a great time in Ella thanks to choosing this place - fully recommended!

What to say? Perfect?!? Senali and his wife are just the best hosts. The breakfast is delicious. The views are THE BEST you can possibly find in Ella. The kindness of Senali thou is a winner. We are two girls travelling and we artived when it was already dark, he managed to vome to pick us up from the main road so we wouldn't have to walk in the dark. The little alley is a local small street we couldn't reach with our car but absolutely safe for walk at anytime, still he came to meet us and made us feel safe and welcomed. The same in the morning. Always wanting to carry our luggage so we wouldn't have to. This is the kind of experience you want to have when travelling in a country as SL: supporting the local community which is so caring and welcoming. I loved it Senali! Thank you so much!

This homestay is an absolute hidden gem! The family are so welcoming - they cannot do enough for you. The view is INCREDIBLE! The sunset is beautiful and you can see the 9 Arch Bridge so clearly. It’s a tuk tuk ride down to the homestay by the owner which made us all giggle and I think this is the best value place I have stayed. It’s a simplistic place to stay yet has everything you need. We were greeted with free tea and coffee and even late night toast and jam. I’d recommend this place to anyone and would give 11/10 if I could! We saw 4 trains go over the bridge and it was an absolute pleasure to stay here!

This is a one of places where you can experience Sri Lankans hospitality. Owner really cared about our needs. In the end of our stay, he also drove us to train station. One of top reasons to choose this place is a great view - for a much lower price than popular surrounding accomodation you get the same, great view on the 9 arches bridge. Our room was good - not like 5 star hotel, but pleasant. There is a slight difficulty regarding location, it is a 10 minutes uphill drive and catching Uber or Pickme in Ella is problematic, for us catching tuktuk on the main street and asking to take us there worked the best (around 700-1000 LKR). If you want to go from hotel to Ella centre - ask owner, he will help you.

The number one reason to book this guesthouse is for the views and hospitality. The owner and his wife were exceptionally kind. They helped my husband and I get to the Ella train station early in the morning and helped us greatly when our driver we had for 3 days suddenly left us. Our little corner of the balcony had a perfect view of the train and the 9-arch bridge. There were no bugs, and the beds were very comfortable! We also had a nice breakfast the next morning - the perfect start to exploring the town!

It was quite the trek to get to the guesthouse, especially if you're coming by car. The roads are narrow, steep, and on the edge of a cliff. It's better to communicate with the owner beforehand so he can help pick you up on the main road and fetch you with his tuk tuk. The location is also quite a ways from town. So plan your meals and timings accordingly because PickMe app doesn't work and the tuk tuk drivers in Ella are all scammers. So if you need lunch and dinner in town, make sure you have your transportation sorted. There's no restaurants where the guesthouse is.

the location was perfect for the view of the 9 arch bridge, the view from the balcony was far better than in the pictures. the family were so helpful and friendly. the breakfasts were lovely. we stayed 3 nights and each morning was different local foods.

it was further out of town than we thought but we did want to be near the bridge, so you have weigh that up, and would still go for this option. the local tuk tuk drivers really try to overcharge you here compared to everywhere else we stayed in sri lanka, nothing to do with the hosts or the location, we were very happy with our accommodation. also bear in mind there are a few places with similar names and the drivers tried to drop us off far nearer the town at a similar named property and had we not known where we were going, it would have had a very long walk with our cases. the picture attached is from the balcony on my iphone

Host Senavirthna picked us up from Demodara on his Tuk Tuk, drove to Ravana Ella Waterfall, tour of Town in the night for an extra fee. Following morning, due to a mixup of train times, we were still at the lodging while the train we booked at the Bridge down below! Senavirthna acted quickly, got us in the Tuk Tuk and drove frantically to Ella Station but the Train had gone! Then He drove us at a speed, horn blaring to Bandarawela, which is 6 miles away and managed to reach station before the arrival of Train! We tipped Senavirthna, handsomely for His great work. A very warm welcome with the owner making his way upto the main road to pick us up in his Tuk Tuk. When we reached the accommodation we were met by an amazing view and a very large pot of tea along with some cake. The owner couldn't do enough for us even taking us to town for food. We were up at 05.15 to catch the train and again tea was ready as was a breakfast to take with us. The accommodation is very basic but comfortable . The view is amazing and makes up for anything you may pick up on please note that it is preferable to pay in Rupees.

The view is even better than the pictures, it is spectacular! The room is basic but very nice and clean.. The owners are so nice, the breakfast was simple but varied. The location is perfect to visit the Nine Arch Bridge. Location access: The owner picked us up on the main road as the last few hundred meters can only be done by tuk tuk. To the guests saying that there is no privacy at breakfast:, we had a table just for us but please consider, it is an Inn, it's a house, you happen to share it with other people, it is the beauty of travelling
