The accommodation is in the quiet countryside. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The showers and bathrooms are shared and very clean. Amenities were provided (shampoo etc.). There was a corner for free coffee and tea. The meals were prepared with love and we had a good chat and laugh during dinner time. If I ever happen to be back in Hokkaido in winter for skiing, I will stay at Akane-yado!

There was a limited amount of power outlets in the room, but I only noticed because I had many gadgets to charge (bike lights, cycling computer, camera, headphones, phone...).

The owner was very helpful through our stay and provided great tips on sightseeing. The scenery around the guest house was stunning, and the home cooked meals were delicious 😋

If the heater wasn't powered by gas and there was laundry facility, it would be perfect🙂

The breakfast was amazing! So tasty and the ambiance was so cute. It brought one of us to tears. Then it brought us all to giggle fits at our friend who was crying.

Joe is a great host. The house is beautifully nestled in a peaceful landscape with a view of the mountains. It's an excellent starting point for hikers and skiers.

Pure nature, no city light, amazing mountain view, surround by fields, can see locals doing farming work nearby, good access to the town nearby by car. We had delicious soup curry there. Breakfast prepared by the host, it was delicious as well

the location is far from the train station, if you don't have a car, its hard to get to.

Nice home cooked meals, and quiet surroundings. Shared toilets and shower area was quite clean. Other guests were v respectful.
