Excellent Dinner buffet. We are great fans of KITA NO KUNI KARA, the TV series, so really enjoyed the panel exhibits in the lobby of the hotel. Also, the little museum and famous location of that series and of another series, YASASHII JIKAN were right on the hotel grounds. We felt like we were in the TV series ! Beautiful place to relax and take a hot spring bath, and enjoy a walk in the wooded area surrounding the hotel.

Unfortunately, no regular restaurants near the hotel except the Mori no Tokei coffee shop for a meal. Hotel restaurants were expensive so would have liked regular restaurants to have a meal in instead of only high end buffet and izakaya. Had to travel into town if we wanted a regular restaurant, and the Lavender Bus, which is very convenient, stops running early in the evening, so would have to take a taxi up to the resort.

Staffs are all nice and kind. Room is very clean, amenities are also wonderful. Overall environment is excellent.

Breakfast is satisfied and enough good, however, the concern is dinner buffet. Apparently the cost and value are not satisfied. The foods of dinner buffet are not good taste and even the amount of foods are not enough with ￥7000 per person. If quality of foods, variations of foods, and amount of foods are more satisfied, then if they serve special foods unique in Hokkaido, may be accepted with ￥7000. Otherwise, the feeling will be down for who expects the name of "Prince Hotel".

We loved EVERYTHING!! There was so much to do on the grounds that it was too much to tackle with just a two night stay. From the spacious and comfortable room to the great food at every eatery we tried to the friggin hot air balloon rides to the onsen to the forest village of crafty artists... Seriously, there isn't enough time to do it all. But I guess that's how they get you... You just HAVE to come back to tick more stuff off your to-do list. And this is only the summer activities, too. I can only imagine how much fun this place is during the various other seasons. This place was legitimately magical.

One complaint of mine is that there's no 12th floor observatory or lookout. You HAVE to eat at one of the two restaurants up on that floor to enjoy the spectacular view of Furano. Also, some of the activities are only available during certain times of the year. When we arrived, it was the last day to ride the ropeway and have afternoon hot air balloon rides. Naturally, we figured we could still do it the next day... But then we read further into it and discovered that we missed our chance at some pretty awesome stuff. It was terribly disappointing but that's not the hotel's fault. You just have to do your research and plan your visit accordingly. And hope the weather works in your favor, too.

Location was good within walking distance to a ropeway, a nice retail art and crafts area and 36 holes of golf. It was also around 5 mins drive from the cheese factory. And a few other restaurants within 10 mins drive (better to book in advance though). The room was spacious, there was a nice onsen (with a convoluted route to get there) and a nice outdoor sitting area. Parking was plentiful. And there was a souvenir shop with snacks and stuff you could buy....

There's quite a lot of facilities that the hotel provides. But the staff weren't able to help us (non Japanese speaking people) use them. When I asked about golf they looked for a pamphlet, couldn't find it and then just directed me to the website - which was badly designed. On a similar note, we wanted to use the hot air balloon - but you get to know if it's flying only 30 minutes before (which means waking up at 530am) - so we didn't use that either...

We stay 6 nights, the hotel was a bit old fashion style with tranditional japanese style. Even the hotel a bit old fashion but the cleanliness is very good. Staff are nice, just some staff maybe have not know how to respon guest properly. I understand Japanese had their own tranditional way, that was nice but sometime some reaction a bit rude to guest. Such as raise up hand and say "wait", it is not a big deal but if they can learn how to reapon guest more nicely especially for people who are not Japanese will increasing your service level.

No water in room. Breakfast buffet was a bit disappointed.

This hotel is truly grand hotel and it’s like a kind of 90 century hotel that reminds me when I was teen. My daughter enjoyed FM radio installed bed side so much . There is a way connect to Ningle’s terrace so I went there at night and morning. In autumn it’s so beautiful.Please visit there trail to the forest beside Ningle ‘s terrace it so beautiful ,not too far also wheel chair accessible. Buffet dinner and breakfast was ok,American and Japanese , Chinese style food were provided in decent variety. There were Jacuzzi in onsen that I was impressed. This hotel was super clean even it’s old , everything was in good condition. Service was great.

Enjoyed our first time staying at Shin Furano Prince Hotel. Everything we wanted was on site: Easy access to the ski slopes, rental shop, laundry, onsen and spa services, convenience store... you name it. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of offerings, key highlights being the omelette station and the assortment of fresh pastries. The room was spacious with a nice view of the mountains. Very much enjoyed the spa services and the woman who did my services was so funny and kind! I would stay here again. Added plus, this hotel was easy to navigate with minimal Japanese, but I'd still recommend trying your best to know conversational Japanese.

The building is definitely dated, but well-maintained so not much to dislike.

Great location for Bonpow activities, top notched ski in ski out facilities, best ski school and rental services ( especially Sportpia Furano & Furano Snow School )with English speaking instructors and very helpful staff like Ariji san who patiently advised me on which snowboard attire and equipments to pick and rent and help me to pack them nicely in a very nice bag, store them while I went for Ramen nearby, and very thoughtfully advised me on ski techicalities, safety precautions and gears for snowboarding. Breakfast spread is simply amazing. The orange is cut at a specific way to enhance consumption pleasure. Good choices of restaurants, eateries and coffee ateliars nearby. ( Sugiyama Coffee is a dream, very reluctant to share but its so good it beats my conscience not to ). Reception at Lobby is always ready to help out and cater for all my requests including helping to book very reliable taxi to onsen at the tip of the mountain one and a half hour away. Feeling very blessed, grateful and pampered to be able to stay at such a wonderful place.

Best ski in ski out hotel in Furano. Breakfast buffet is phenomenal, a must have included in the price. Onsen is big and enjoyable especially after a long ski day. This hotel is big with many restaurants options and you don't feel its too crowded even though it's full house during peak Ski period in January. We love our corner double room layout with fantastic views of the snowy mountains. Highly recommend its the ideal ski resort hotel
