A nice welcome, friendly attentive staff, a spacious room, clean and quiet, very comfortable beds with lovely duvets and pillows. Wonderful breakfast with a large variety, several hot and cold dishes, fruit, vegetables and you could even order eggs made to your likeing at the frying station.

Although the hotel only had very few guests - at the maximum six of the 5o-something rooms were occupied - they placed nearly all the guests in adjacent rooms. Since the walls are paper-thin you could hear every sniffling, sneezing coughing from the neighbouring rooms and could even follow their conversations. A bit more spacing apart would have been better. When we didn't have any neighbours the room was nicely quiet since it was well away from the street.

We used to stay at the Falaj Daris 20 years ago when we lived in Oman and loved the hotel then. It didn’t disappoint 20 years later. The rooms are in a lovely ground floor courtyard setting around the pool and restaurant giving it a real Arabic feel. We were a family of 6 adults and had 3 spacious inter connecting rooms - 2 twin rooms (two small doubles in each room) and a double room (UK King bed). Rooms have a small fridge and kettle with tea/coffee. Beds are comfortable. Essential toiletries are also provided. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was a delicious hot/cold buffet with different hot combinations every day (the hot porridge was fabulous). We also ate at the hotel every night as they had a good Indian/western food selection, reasonably priced and very tasty (burgers were super tasty). They also have a bar and alcohol license. Staff are super friendly and they also helped out when we had an issue with our rental car. Hotel is about a 10 minute drive into Nizwa but its location means that it’s easy to get to and is much quieter than the hotels nearer the fort. We loved our stay and would always stay here when visiting Nizwa.

Pool isn’t heated but didn’t stop our family enjoying it!

This is a good 3 star hotel a couple of miles from the centre of Nizwa. The building is low rise with rooms arranged round two courtyards, one of which has a pool and, in the evening, a bar where you can sit outside. Evening meals are served in the restaurant or bar. Breakfast has a reasonable selection of hot and cold choices and the chef will make eggs to order. Service is excellent throughout the hotel with a special mention to the manager on reception who printed, scanned and emailed urgent documents for us. My only minor criticism is that the bed was incredibly hard.

I choose it for the swimmingpool - and it did not disappoint!!! Great pool, many chairs, towels available. All great. Rooms are spacious and food is good! People are (almost overly :)) friendly.

If I have to say something, as it basically was overall super great … i can only mention the small biting ants around the pool (i tried each side of the pool - they are always there!). Nothing too bad though - it didn’t chase me from the pool!

Pool was perfect - easily accesssible, clean, bar to one side. Room was spotless. Breakfast was delicious. The entire hotel is single storey which adds to the relaxed feel and no messing about with elevators. The staff were excellent, very heplful and friendly, I had a problem with the safe, I rang reception, it was sorted in minutes.

The location, away from the core worked for us as we didn't want to stay in the hustle bustle. Pool was nice and clean. We saw others enjoying. Room was very clean with all necessary provisions made, and even fulfilled special request for providing a shaving kit. We liked it that the breakfast was not pre-cooked, it was prepared as per the orders, so all customizations were taken care of for the kids. Ample parking on the front as well as to the side of the hotel. Overall a very good experience from the hotel as well as the city in general.

Nothing to dislike. All good. There is no limit to expectations. The hotel is on ground floor only. So the back side curtains open on to a peripheral walkway. We kept the windows and curtains closed.

Although it's nearby a big road, you cannot hear a thing! The room was big and very clean (also the bathroom). As we were there for New Year's Eve, we could also enjoy a drink in a very cosy bar by the swimming pool (the other one was with music, just behind the reception).

Breakfast was rich, but the taste of everything a bit fade.

it is quiet location. The room was spacious. The breakfast was good, different menus were on each day. However, the choice is not that wide but reasonable. The quality is good. On site free parking is good.

Knocking our doors in the morning by the staff for room servicing was very annoying and unusual. we never experienced this before. The room did not have any sign for “Don’t Disturb” or “ Make room” sign that we could hang outside of the door. The guests may be tired and sleeping. This outdated practice must be changed. The force of the water in the bathroom is variable and unpredictable.

I have stayed at FDH for more than 25 years. The staff are excellent and some have been there for many years. Proof of good working conditions and management. The whole Covid period the FDH went through a proper renovation of all rooms and bathrooms. So today the hotel is in new excellent condition. Also the two inner court yards and pool were renovated.

Location and pool facilities. Huge well maintained pool for both adults and kids. The mountains view from pool was lovely at evening.

Though hotel was deserted as it was off season but staff seems lost and not interested in greeting and seeing you there. Pool had no towels and you have to first find staff and then equest one. We told bald guy at reception to make sure room aircon is working well as it was too hot outside but aircon in room wasn't working as it should be at 17 degree.This hotel has so much potential to exceed expectation
