RJ the front desk is so helpful

While technically a 3 star, it was better than some 4 stars I have stayed at. I would put this hotel closer to 4 stars for decor, room size, comfort, pool facilities and staff attentiveness. A special mention for RJ who was super welcoming. Parking is free, onsite and plentiful. Location wise, while not a typical vacation stay area, this was a fantastic base for downtown San Jose, a trip to the coast, a trip to Yosemite etc. Nearby lots of restaurants (within walking distance, and a large outdoor shopping complex with a huge reasonably priced supermarket. Try the Taco street van just down the road for authentic Mexican cuisine. Although room only, there is a service station in reception to replenish on tea/coffee in a morning and has plenty of fresh fruit. You can order breakfast options from reception. For between $8-12. I would definitely stay here again.

Location and proximity to Santa Clara, San Jose, Mountain View and Cupertino is excellent - it's great value for money. The Movies and Popcorn facility is a nice evening touch. The refurbished gym does the job with a Peloton if that's your thing. Free coffee / fruit in the morning and complimentary drinks in the evening are nice touches. Reception staff are awesome and always great to see Nathan!

Pool was closed for repairs although the hotel did offer complimentary bus transport to their sister hotel 4 miles away. This would be a bigger miss if the weather was any hotter than April. There is no on-site restaurant but there is an order/collection system for breakfast.

One of the attendants, RJ, assisted me during my stay at Avante Hotel. His attentiveness made my trip feel comfortable and welcoming. He’s friendly, kind, respectful and so empathetic always with a good smile on his face!!!! I would recommend this attendant’s service to future guests (included me next summer)!!!The hotel doesn’t offer the guests an included breakfast meal but they have for free fruits, coffee, tea and flavored water every day!!!

We really like this hotel. The staff members are exceptional. they really work together. Love the free cookies, the comfortable bed, and the quietness of the property.

Don't think you can do anything about this, but the height of the hotel limits the sunshine at various times of day when we want to lay by the pool. But Mother Nature is Mother Nature. She's old like the rest of us and probably not willing to change her ways.

Great location and super friendly staff. Swimming pool awesome for kids to play and adults to relax. Clean rooms. Close to all interesting places in Silicone Valley. Free parking and no problem to find a spot any time.

Beds are a bit old and not very comfortable. AC is loud but it’s possible to open a window so it was not so bad.

If I remember correctly, we were told there was breakfast for purchase. It was a nice surprise to come down the elevator and see complementary orange and cranberry juice. I'd brought my own tea and coffee, so didn't care about those. Beds were comfortable, room was very clean, walls were thick (couldn't hear neighbors at all :) ), A/C worked well, and floors & doors were not noisy.

My Apple Laptop computer was taken from my room when I went to visit my husband at the hospital nearby and that was traumatic for me, however, my granddaughter retrieved it a couple of days after I checked out of the hotel.

Rooms are spacious, clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Walking distance to Target and some restaurants.

Absence of laundry facility makes a long stay of more than 5 days a bit difficult.
