We arrived to cold and rainy weather, but our stay at Le Petit Karoo was nothing short of cosy and memorable. The tent was warm and inviting, with an electric blanket that made all the difference on chilly nights. One of the highlights was the jacuzzi bathtub with breathtaking views—such a treat to relax and take in the landscape. Our hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every meal felt like it was prepared with care. As a beginner birdwatcher, I was thrilled to spot and identify 20 different bird species during our stay! We also really enjoyed the peaceful walk to the labyrinth—such a calming and grounding experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with nature in comfort.

Loved the place breathtaking views. Spa bath was amazing. Everytime we came back our tent was clean and beds made up with fresh refills of water and coffee, cookies etc. We could braai there too, set us up in the braai area. Hosts Tracy and Karen made it even more special with their kindness and helpfulness. Tracy came out in the rain to bring us an umbrella when it was raining. They so humble and humorous too. Just loved the breakfast that was served and all those different jams too. Dinner was delicious, succulent ostrich meat on a bed of mashed potatoes and warm veggies. Everything was just perfect...will definitely visit again and bring our family along too. Thanks for a memorable stay!!

As we took the hiking experiences on the path to our destination, we both experience different trial. I took the slow pace. Resting when needed enjoying the sound of the birds, the landscape and the plants Bossie I called myself, cause I'm born in this area Oudtshoorn. When we reach our destination, we had opportunity to meet both owners. Must say Karen and Tracey made this journey remarkable further. When we went to our resting place. There I discovered the germ called diamonds. We both were so excited and filled with inner peace we almost never experience. Too see the Swart Berge and the structure of houses from above. My passion for hiking was renewed, my new hobby for taking pictures and doing artwork was refuellable, burning desire to fulfilled everything I always wanted. The food was delicious and presented with class. Classic artwork against the wall and antiques in the restaurant area. Love the Chess see. I can write a book of this place, but I would definitely come again someday to finish writing the pages. Definitely stay longer. Thank you for this opportunity to experience this hidden gem in the Karoo.

The location is stunning, totally worth a visit! The property was very recently purchased by new owners who are quite obviously putting in the effort to make the property even better. It’s got great bones and I’m sure when their vision comes to life it will be truly amazing. They were very kind and offered us great service, including a very tasty breakfast. Our room was comfortable and thankfully had heating for the very cold night. I would definitely recommend!

The room didn’t look as nice in person as it did in the photos, but it was comfortable and clean. As I mentioned, they are in the process of upgrading the entire property so it is currently a work in progress.

The view and location is amazing, I don't think one can ask for anything better!!! It was so nice to jump into the pool after the Meiringspoort Half Marathon and cool off and enjoy a cocktail next to the pool!!! Tracy went out of her way for us and we appreciate it, we will be back! You and your team have already changed a lot in the short time that you guys have taken over the ownership, can't wait to come visit again!!! Kind regards. The Dairy Farmer :-)

There is nothing not to like!!! Everything was perfect!!!

Absolutely everything was a 10 !!! From the moment we arrived and met Tracy, we just connected - she is so divine with her bubbly personality and sense of humour! The pool was a welcome relief and the tent set up was very well designed and.equipped! It was the most incredible way to start our holiday and the dinner prepared by both Tracy & Karin was 10 🌟 Will definitely be back and highly recommend it 👌 regards Lynn & Steve Levy, Durbanville

There was nothing not to like!

It is well situated, Just a short drive from the town of Oudshoorn. There is a deck with a lovely view, we saw a springbok drinking just below our deck. The owner has a meal planned each day for supper, you just have to inform her, we had a delicious spaghetti dish for supper the one night. They provide breakfast on request as well. There is also a lovely pool, towels are provided, we also enjoyed watching their ducks. We enjoyed our stay.

We booked a tent and a room but it was too difficult for my daughter to stay in the tent as she struggles to climb steps They were moved into a room closer to us. Our room was superb with a great view.

The layout of some of the rooms didn't take advantage of the incredible view so it is important to choose a room with a view otherwise you're looking into the carpark which isnt what you come for

Bathroom was abit cold ,,but it's in the process of being upgraded but it's all part of the adventure.

It was the perfect place to stay to visit the surroundings, Cango cave, Ostriches farm, wildlife farm, and game drive at the buffelsdrift lodge great view all around the lodge confortable room

The only thing missing is a bit more shadow around the swimming pool
