The room was well equipped and maintained with good quality furnishings and fittings. The staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so friendly and helpful. It was wonderfully situated right by the Basilica Di Santa Croce and convenient for all the old city sights.

As we had feared the room was very noisy, opening out directly onto a side street near busy cafes. The rooms that faced into the courtyard would have suited us better as they had all the advantages without the noise. Also there were no windows which was quite claustrophobic.

The room (Templari) was beautiful. The restoration of the property has been done sensitively and our room was very well appointed. At first we were concerned that it might be very noisy at night as it opened out directly onto the street at ground level. However, with the shutters fully closed this was not an issue and we slept soundly in the very comfortable bed. We loved the arrangement with Miro cafe for breakfast which was plentiful and delicious. Diletta was super helpful! She is very knowledgable and passionate about the history of the Palazzo and the ancient synagogue beneath it. Her english was superb and she was so welcoming with her explanation of the property and helping us with our luggage on the check out day.

Just a couple of tiny things that we felt would improve the room - there was no waste paper bin in the bedroom and the basin tap sprays water onto the mirror and floor when it is turned on full. This makes the floor very slippery. It needs to be mended.

Great location and extremely helpful staff who went out of their way to make bookings for us and give recommendations. The rooms were very comfortable. Checkin was easy and they prebooked parking for us.

The showers were crazily small - but understandable given they’ve obviously been retrofitted into a very old building. The walk from the car park with luggage was pretty long - probably 10 minutes - and there was possibly a closer car park on the other side of the town. The comfort of the rooms and friendly helpful staff definitely outweighed these negatives

The staff were so kind and welcoming. They arranged parking for us in a nearby paid lot and offered loads of information about places to eat. They also offered free tours of the Jewish Museum of Lecce, which is connected to the property. The location right next to the cathedral in a major town square was excellent; we were within walking distance to everything. We got a room upgrade and it was very clean and spacious; it all seemed renovated rather recently. The bed was also large and comfortable. The breakfast was arranged with the next door cafe/restaurant which was fine but nothing stellar. We went one morning and then explored cafes recommended by staff on the others.

The shower was very tiny, for my husband especially, but we made it work:)

The location is great. The best possible in the old city. The room has a special authentic atmospheer. Large and clean. The breakfast is served nearby in a local restaurant. Very good. The lady in the reception , located in front of the "hotel" was pleasent and helpfull.

Since the rooms were near the street, there was sometimes noice that was not pleadent at 1-2 am. The parking is 10 min walk but understood since the hotel is at the heart of the oldcity.

Beautiful and clean room! They went above and beyond to help us ! They even arranged the parking for us and called a taxi to take us from and to the garage at check in and check out. Helped us with our bags and catered to our every need. They also have tours available and can help you arrange everything. Diletta gave us some amazing recommendations to check out in town which I really appreciated! She was always available to answer any questions no matter what time! She really made us feel welcome and special! The place is right in the center and the location couldn’t be more perfect! Don’t walk, run and book it!

Nothing to not like

First, Diletta is an exceptional host —welcoming, and and a helpful, accessible communicator. Always quick and thorough, she answered all of our pre-arrival questions, provided suggestions, and stayed late to accommodate our evening arrival. She ensured our comfort in getting settled, while also sharing the fascinating history of our “Sinogoga” quarters. We also enjoyed and learned much from Elena, during the next day’s hour of the Judeo Museo!

Wish we could have stayed longer.

The property fits in with the so-rounding community. “Old City Lecce which is in the Puglia region. My room was upgraded for no reason. I had my own courtyard and room with in. Best of all it was in the center of Old City.

Old City is pretty social and when you see my pictures if you go to bed early you will hear noises. I had no problem. I was glad people were having a good time.

The best hotel of my entire trip! I truly and sincerely recommend staying at Palazzo Persone because the friendliness of the staff, the level of attention to detail and care, and the comfort of the room make everything perfect! They even took care of my gluten-free breakfast and recommended places to eat without me having to worry about a thing!

how the staff took care of all the details in such friendly and personal way parking. getting us a taxi. loved that the room was in historical building in the middle of restaurants and scenic walks. highly recommended
