Very comfortable place to stay for our visit to Lecce. Comfortable bed, room for a family and then some. Has living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, and 1 and 1/2 baths. Also have use of garden area. The host, John, went overboard trying to make sure we were cared for, meeting us at Port Napoli and escorting is in to old Town, reserving parking and escorting us to it. He also served us a huge breakfast everyday and even brought us special requests. He was always available by text if we had questions. We felt like we had made a good friend by the time we left. The location was within walking distance of the sights.

Tastefully converted former artist's studio right in the heart of Lecce old town. Very spacious. Original centuries old limestone ceilings. Lovely courtyard garden. John was very helpful with instructions on how to reach the property including parking options. He met us at Porta Napoli and guided us on his vespa to the accommodation. The breakfast that John delivers to your apartment each morning was by far the best accommodation breakfast we had during a 6 week European trip. Included a selection of breads and cured meats that we had for lunch each day.

Should have stayed one extra night.

We LOVED everything about this place. Its right in the center of Old Town Lecce. Our hosts John and Angie were the best and their home was amazing! Absolutely beautiful and spacious! Walkable to everything. We only stayed 2 nights here and regretted not booking for longer. Next time we will definitely book at least week or two. We couldn't ask for more from Casa d'Artista Suite & Garden and Lecce. The Breakfast spread was delicious and such a variety! John took a lot of time to talk with us and make us feel right at home. Our Italian isn't great so it was wonderful that John spoke English. We already miss this place and look forward to the next time we come back to Italy. Thank you John and Angie for your superb hospitality - we will be back!

Excellent stay in a huge ground floor historical apartment with courtyard garden . Great location in the old town but within a few minutes of all the main sites. John is a great host and the breakfasts are huge . Bread and croissants from a local bakery . Meats , cheese , yogurt , fruit and juice really set us up for the day . John had provided a very good information list on restaurants , things to do etc. Don't miss the two turtles in the courtyard garden which for us in May had Jasmine and Bougainvillea in flower , plus a Lemon tree.

A unique property, tastefully furnished with lots of lovely touches. Beautiful garden. Great location in the old town of Lecce. Breakfast was fantastic, and we loved the concept of being able to enjoy it in our apartment in private. John is a great host and manages to strike the perfect balance between being friendly and helpful but not invading your privacy. I absolutely could not recommend this place more highly.

John was a fantastic host, right from the start meeting us outside the old town and guiding us to his apartment, then showing us to a parking area, although paid, only 4 Euro a day. The apartment was very spacious with seperate sitting areas and the breakfast left outside our apartment each morning was very delicious and generous, it was also enough for a snack later on. The location is great so we were able to come back during the heat of the day to relax in the air conditioning and then head back out when things cooled down. Highly recommend Thank you

Casa d'Artista is an ideal place to stay in Lecce, we can't recommend it highly enough. The location is close to the city center but very quiet. Not only is there a large and comfortable bedroom, there is also a large lounge plus a separate dining area and lovely nook to relax in by the enclosed garden - much more than you'd normally get for such a reasonable price in a historic walled city. The owner is super-friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts he put on were just outstanding (often enough for lunch as well).

Unbelievably beautiful and has authentic artworks in the home decorating walls and frescos by the owner. Felt so comfortable and private but right centrally located. The added bonus of the garden with pet tortoises wandering is a stand out. Fabulous breakfast provided by host who was so awesome in every way. He has a great personal “greatest hits” list of restaurants and scenic things to do, and the recommendation of La Locanda macellaio was close to our favourite experience in Italy! We very much appreciated this being international tourists. This stay is in our top 10 as number 1!

The apartment is huge! Plenty of room and we enjoyed being able to spread out. We particularly liked that it had a study desk. The best thing about the property was the host John! He made our stay so much nicer as he was English speaking and gave us lots of tips even before we got there! He even helped us sort out a parking ticket after we left! Thankyou so much for all your help John. Our stay in Lecce could not have been better 😊

This adorable apartment is located right in the middle of old town Lecce. It was within walking distance of everything. The apartment itself was a great size, and very charming. We slept well in the bed, that is until the loudest clap of thunder ever had us glued to the ceiling!! John made us a lovely breakfast every morning and gave us lots of tips for restaurants. He is definitely a SUPER host! Thank you John!!
