The location and the cozy natural style of the apartment - all in wood. We had the last apartment in a row, so we were really looking at trees&countryside everywhere, and yet close enough to stores and breakfast. We only had a few steps to Aurora lookout and trails and cross country ski track and as it was out of the village center, we could even see the aurora in front of the little houses. Plus private Sauna times were excellent. And Taxidrivers know the procedure of getting the key before coming to the apartment. Closest public bus station is holiday club.

We didn't know, that arriving in Ivalo Airport at 16:35 we could have gone to Saariselkä by public bus (of which the last drives at 17:14 off the Airport), as the airport is small and the bus is waiting for the plane. We thought that this was not enough time for luggage claim and passport control (which we didn't have at all arriving), but it is enough time.

Well furnished and clean. Main room was a good size with a decent closet for 2 people. The wooden interior was charming and there is a shared electric grill, hot tub and sauna. Great location! We were able to see the aurora borealis right outside our apartment on Aug 30! Restaurants and market are <10min walk. Trail heads start just at the end of the street.

While the main room was large, the bedroom fit only the bed and not anything else. It’s only a curtain served as a bedroom door. Sauna slots of 30min isn’t enough to enjoy or relax - I really think you need 45-6min.

Great location! Close to the skiing slopes (starts basically right in front of the apartment) and hiking trails (entrance to national park is 5min away) as well as to the center of Saariselkä (5min walk to bus stop). The apartment itself was well equipped and had a cozy vibe. Every apartment has a dedicated sauna time slot of 30min (which changes every day) but there’s also public sauna slots for women (18-19h) and men (19-20h), which was great if the private slot time didn’t fit. Overall very happy with the accommodation and can definitely recommend it☺️

As mentioned in other reviews, the pick up/drop off location of the keys is ~10min walking distance from the apartment. It’s not too far but it’s inconvenient if you travel alone and/or don’t have a car so you have to carry all your luggage throughout town. Maybe a key box at the apartment could help solve this issue. Otherwise nothing to complain about 🤗

Wonderful log house with a spacious living room/kitchen area, cozy bedroom and nice bathroom. The kitchen us fully equipped and very functional, there even is a dishwasher. The whole apartment feels cozy and very homely. The location is great, right next to the entrace to the national park. The supermarket, bus stops, restaurants and tour offices are all at walking distance, yet the place feels like it's in the forest. You get a private sauna plan, giving you 30 minutes to use the sauna every day which is fantastic. I loved everything about my stay and will for sure come back.

I arrived by bus and it was a little tiring to take my luggage to the supermarket/reception to get the keys, and then to the accommodation which is on the other side of the village. But I learned that their original reception building burned down last year and they are rebuilding it, so it's just a temporary solution and not really anybodies fault.

I did not like that the rooms don't have a sauna as is plenty of room and you need to go in the big sauna in the time they book you

The location was amazing and we were able to see one of the best auroras. Good spots for auroras through paths from the village

a nice cabin with all essentials, with a voucher for money off lunch at the supermarket cafe. private sauna time and good showers in sauna.

People didn't really use their sauna slots. Maybe a system where you can "open" your slot would be nice.

Everything is good about the place, except for access to public transport and room keys

Key collection point is 1 km away, difficult without own transport, bus stop is also 500m walk which is difficult in snow and extreme cold with luggage.

the 3rd bed was really just a bench with a cushion- lucky out friend likes a hard surface. it was NOT a bed. false advertising to say that was a bed.
