The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of all the attractions we wanted to enjoy. After picking up my daughter from Matsuyama Airport, we parked our rental car across from the hotel for the first night, then moved it to the city’s free parking spots for the next two days. We didn't use the car again until we departed, choosing to explore Dogo on foot, soak in the onsen, and savor delicious regional food. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. When one of their washing machines malfunctioned and ate our coins, they refunded the money so we could complete our laundry. We enjoyed sleeping on futons to experience the traditional Japanese style. If you are looking for a clean, reasonable accommodation so you can use the extra money for gorgeous sets of Ehime food, such as Tai meshi, this place is it. We will come back again!

Stayed at Hotel Eco Dogo for two nights and overall had a good experience. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to Dogo Onsen and 6 minutes to walk to Dogo Onsen station. There is a limousine bus ran by Iyotestu/伊予鉄道 which take you from directly from Matsuyama airport to Dogo Onsen Station or vice versa. The dorm room bed is quite spacious and there is a dedicated full-size locker for each dorm occupant. The lady who handles the reception duty is very helpful and friendly.

Much to my surprise, there were only 1 toilet stall and 3 showers stalls on the 2nd floor. Luckily, me and my friend usually get back late thus waiting for a free toilet or shower stall was not an issue.

The Japanese room was spacious and very comfortable Futons were great Great location, allowing to visit the East of Matsuyama, including the Dogo Onsen (2min walking distance), shopping area and lots of restaurants Easy access and use of washing machines and driers Hotel was very clean Shoe rack with slippers at the entrance Shared area with TV, tea, coffee and tables for meals

No bath towels included, only small face/hand towels Bathrooms not heated during winter time and a bit outdated (I suspect it's expected/ recommended to go to the onsen instead)

The hotel was a few minutes away from the famous Dogo Onsen and associated shopping galleries. The room was large and comfortable, and the building was quite clean. The staff was friendly. It was pleasant to have a sink and toilets in the bedroom.

The staff was maybe too friendly, as we had very rude neighbors who made noise continuously from 11pm to 4am. Soundproofing was not really good. We had to make the beds using dusty futons and pillows.

Great place. Big and comfortable beds in the dormitory with shelf, light and power outlet. Semi enclosed with curtain for privacy. Almost a small room for yourself. Common area at the entrance with microwave and hot water. The place is spotless clean. Great showers and coin washing machines

The common area is not really a sociable place: only 3 tables in front of the reception. Just a place to eat not to rest and hang out

Great location, right near Dogo Onsen!

Very poor sound proofing among the beds, obviously not the hotels fault but it was a rough night sleep with the snoring also other people getting up from 4am onwards. So your quality of sleep really depends on the other people sharing the capsules.

Everything was clean and just amazing, it was one minute walk from the Dogo onsen, it has restaurants close by and the staff were so helpful

It was a little far from the bars area in the town and there is no public transportation after 22:00 to that area

The room was tidy and spacious, futons were clean and comfy. The common areas were clean and quiet, very respectful. Bathrooms had toiletries. It was super close to Dogo Onsen, we had a great time at Eco Dogo.

Good location, spacious beds and staff that helped me with some bookings after my stay there (on the 88 templeroute). The only thing I missed was some bowls etc for eating. But with a 100 yen store that was easily soved..

Amazing location! 3 minute walk from dogo onsen and it’s high up the mountain so beautiful views aren’t far either. Very sweet staff.

A little dusty but that doesn’t really bug me.
