The rooms were simple and comfortable, with bunk beds and a table and chair — perfect for resting after a long day. The lounge area was a great bonus, offering entertainment options for all age groups. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and satisfying. The staff were exceptionally kind and courteous, and the location was ideal — just a short walk to Lake Jindabyne, shops, and restaurants.

The top bunk beds didn’t have safety railings, making them unsuitable for young children. Shared washrooms can be a bit challenging — while the women's facilities were clean, my son noted that the men's toilets could have been better maintained.

This is the family's second stay at Kookaburra for the current ski season. The place has a really nice homely ambience to it and its shared lounge/ kitchen oozes rustic charm that shows the owners really care about their lodge. Staff are consistently polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was generously sized and is always spotless. The beds are very comfortable and the hot breakfast included is always a good start to the day before heading up the mountain. The share bathroom is also modern and always spotless. Thank you! Very friendly and helpful staff, Rhona was really great in making us feel welcomed and made sure we had what we needed. Loved the breakfast, had Bacon and Eggs on offer as well as cereal, toast, juice and tea and coffee. Our room was clean and fresh, we were very comfortable and we had good neighbours people were not noisy. We utilised the rec room and watched a movie on prime video, had free tea and coffee, its a really good place to relax and have some fun or make yourself food with a microwave, airfryer, rice cooker, sandwich press kettle and milk is for tea and coffee. This has been a generous and welcoming stay and I would recommend anyone looking for friendly, clean and welcoming place, come on here.

Nothing, exceeded my expectation.

The room is cosy and comfortable, though the walls are thin, you can hear people outside your room but it is quiet during the night. Breakfast is great! Throughout the day, you can make coffee/tea in the lounge room and also heat up/cook your own food in there, just clean up after yourself. The common bathroom is clean.

It's not really about the place, but more of the guests. Some are not aware they're being loud especially those walking upstairs with heavy footsteps.

Large, comfortable family rooms. Shared bathrooms were extremely clean and well resourced. There were so many thoughtful extras to make our stay really positive like filtered water, generous and delicious cooked breakfast, spacious and inviting lounge space with excellent kitchen facilities, log fire and tv and plenty of parking. Staff are all very friendly and the other guests were too Great value and a pleasure to stay here

Bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well. Breakfast was surprisingly good and we got more than we expected. Bathrooms were very clean and kept in rally good condition.

There were university students staying at the same time we were and they were rather noisy the first night. But credit to the owners of the establishment they warned to keep the noise down and the next evening was a much more comfortable stay for us.

The only drawback was the thin walls between bedrooms, meaning even quiet talking next door was very noticeable. Ear plugs were provided, which was thoughtful.

Loved that I was upgraded to a room with an ensuite. Breakfast included was a terrific addition I wouldn't have expected from the price. Bed was super comfy. The atmosphere and vibe of the venue were perfect. I especially liked the Ducati mounted in the entrance. As a biker this was a reassuring sign that the venue is bike friendly. Also liked the secure nature of parking - off street and largely not visible from outside the venue.

I received a friendly welcome when I arrived. The room had good facilities, including a decent-sized bar fridge, smart TV, and the usual tea/coffee making. There was a microwave available in a common guest kitchen/lounge area. The bed was comfy, and I wasn't disturbed by any noise, despite being over New Years Eve. Overall, this was a convenient, comfortable, and good value base for a couple of days of adventures in the snowy mountains.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The shared bathrooms/ showers were also very clean and spacious. Private showers with soap provided. The lady at the reception was very friendly and waited for us to arrive after we underestimated our time of arrival by a couple of hours. Breakfast was simple but good. Various creals including an option of almond milk. Some toast with simple assortment of spreads (vegemite, butter, honey and jam). And if you wanted, you could get two fried eggs, bacon, beans and two small potatoe cakes. All in all a great stay :)
