EVERYTHING, the staff Stanley the ranger was amazing, as were all the rest of the staff. The animals, food, accommodation, our fabulous welcome. It was our first visit to SA and a game reserve it was amazing. The highlight of our 3 week holiday was meeting Tahboh ( sorry if not correct spelling) of the orphaned cheetah. One of the most amazing things I’ve done.

That we had to leave, wish we could have had more time there. ( weeks, months 🫣👍😂) The weather was a bit pants on the first day, ( raining, but that’s nothing that could be helped).

Everything was just perfect, Chef John's food was always on point, delicious and properly prepared. Nceba's hospitality was just amazing, his communication methods were just what we needed as guest, he was always available when we needed assistance from him. Timothy's game drives were excellent and intriguing, we were always looking forward to the game drives as we were learning a lot about different animals' behaviors etc.

I won't lie, I cannot think of anything at the moment.

It was the best stay during our South Africa trip so far in every respect: the safari was incredibly exciting and professionally led by our experienced RANGER Timothy. We took part in several safaris over two mornings, one afternoon and once at night. We were able to see all animal species up close, some of them in large herds, and the National Park also provides an idyllic, picturesque backdrop that we will remember for a long time. The accommodation deserves 5 stars plus, as does the service and the culinary cuisine. The bartender Nceba and the chef John pampered us beyond measure and we were treated to the delicious cuisine and cocktails in the representative Club House, which in this respect were the highlight of our South Africa trip. We can recommend this game resort, which in our opinion deserves a solid 10 points, with a clear conscience, and we will definitely come back again soon.

We had an absolutely incredible time at Hopewell - everything was exceptional, especially the incredibly knowledgeable and passionate guides, Etienne and Rhynhardt, who really made our stay very special. We can’t wait to come back. The accommodation was also extremely nice, and the lodge is located in a beautifully secluded spot overlooking a watering hole. Incredible all round.

Beautiful lodge with stunning private Villas with an incredible outdoor pool overlooking the scenery. Hopewell is very intimate and private. Etienne and his team made us feel very welcomed and our game drives were super special and adventurous. No rush, no fixed times, no big groupes, very individual and special. We would love to come back one day!

Beautiful lodge with individual bungalows providing relaxing accommodation in an amazing setting. Personal game reserve experience with Damien whose knowledge was incredible. Exciting one to one game drives seeing beautiful animals, birds and flowers in their natural habitat. Exceptional dining experiences.

We were so well cared for by the team- excellent food, gorgeous suite overlooking the hills and bespoke game drives with Timothy. It was an intimate experience in an extremely tranquil place. Sundowners whilst watching rhino, giraffes and zebra was a highlight, as was lunch in the tree house in the bush.

EVERYTHING! The location, the main house and the lodges were superb! The 180 view over the mountains and waterhole from our terrace where we saw the wild animals drink throughout the day was just MAGICAL! The staff and their service was welcoming, pro active and incredibly kind! The chefs prepared Michelin star quality meals accompanied with an excellent wine assortment. The rangers and guide are very knowledgeable and experienced, not a question they didn’t know the answer to! The atmosphere is calm and serene, positive vibes only! Everything you need was offered or available and so well thought out! Good and comfortable beds and excellent housekeeping twice a day. 10 out of 10 and highly recommended!! Totally worth the amount!

Beautiful place with very service minded staff. Our guide Timothy was extremely knowledgable about the bush and wildlife at the reserve.

Food was typically very good but not at always at the very high standard to match a luxury reserve. Lunch was rather simple although tasty.

We are in awe of the efforts of Hopewell. The staff’s commitment to conservationism and enthusiasm and knowledge of the animals and surroundings is inspiring. The rooms were immaculate with breath-taking views. The cleaning and cooking staff were exceptional and incredibly friendly. Our trip to Hopewell is our most cherished memory, and we are already looking forward to returning.
