Ocean View House exceeded all our expectations! The property is gorgeous with breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful, making our experience truly special. Breakfast was excellent❤️❤️❤️ with a wide variety and great quality. We would highly recommend Ocean View House to anyone visiting Cape Town you will not be disappointed! We can’t wait to come back.

We loved everything about Ocean View House! The views from the breakfast terrace (and from the balcony) are breathtaking. The rooms are spacious, very clean and in great condition. The breakfast itself was fantastic, fresh and of high quality. We had our own car, so the private (and gated) parking space was amazing and free of charge. But most important - the staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgable and super helpful. We almost stayed a week and were more than sad when we had to leave, since we felt super comfortable, welcomed and super relaxed at Ocean View House. On our next trip to SA we'll definetely stay here again :-)

Wonderful hotel, like oasis in the city. Beautiful territory with turtles. Comfortable swimming pool. Super personnel, who help us every day. Especially, wish to say thanks for manager within breakfast time, Wilmo hear every special wishes, for example, not usual way to prepare eggs, which prefer my husband. Such guys make feelings and impressions from hotel wonderful, you feel that people happy to make your vacation time better.

Beautiful grounds and great rooms. We had an ocean view and a large balcony to enjoy the sunsets and sunrises. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices for hot breakfast. Nice large honor lounge for gathering. It was about a 20 minute walk to the closest restaurant and Uber was available. Once down there the restaurants were exceptional and many choices.

There was no food or snacks available in the afternoon/evening so you had to go down to the restaurant area for dinner in the evening. It would be nice to have some small items available for purchase on sight (sandwiches or pizza) so if tired from long day of touring you would not have to go out.

Really great attitude from the staff, friendly and helpful. Great little features like the honesty bar and lounge made it very comfortable to hang out and feel at home. Amazing views from the rooms and top quality level of finish and decor. Really well maintained on every level.

The only down side was the location is just little bit too far to walk into the main town easily, meaning we had to get Zubieta frequently. However if you want some quiet within touching distance of the town then this works perfectly.

Beautiful property located just outside the main strip of Camps Bay. We had room 9, very spacious, 2 sofas, large bed and large bathroom (shower only) It had a patio door to a garden terrace with sea views. Staff were so friendly and helpful at all times. Sorted us a good deal on car hire and helped with organising sightseeing tours. Breakfast was excellent, a buffet plenty of choice plus fresh cooked options. We didn’t have the “light lunch” and there’s no evening meal available- not that matters as plenty in Camps Bay a 15 min walk away.

Nothing, I can only suggest some areas I would change. I would change is the round lights that come on at night around the pool to be ground facing so you can really appreciate the night sky better. Would love to see solar panels being used to heat the pool in the non summer months.

We absolutely loved everything about Ocean View House. We wish we could have stayed here for our entire trip! The hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and chic. The views of the Twelve Apostles from the pool deck are absolutely breathtaking. The location is great - we felt very safe and loved walking to Bootleggers and Beta Beach. Every single staff member we encountered during our stay was incredibly friendly and helpful. Special shoutouts to Marshall, Supreme, and Wilson! We can't say enough wonderful things about OVH!

Everything was perfect!

We spent a week in wonderful Cape Town and surroundings in August 23. Our staying at Ocean view house was just what we were hoping for. The location is just perfect, overseeing the ocean in a typical fynbos garden, 15 minutes’ drive from downtown: well-connected but still immersed in the nature. Rooms are spacious with private balcony and well equipped. Amazing sunsets from the window. The breakfast was very tasty. The personnel, kind and super helpful. We spent most of the days visiting and could not enjoy the swimming pool areas and its facilities, but they looked perfect for relaxing.

Breakfast was fantastic, offered everything you needed from cereals, fruit, cold meats and breads, through to a wonderful cooked breakfast that changed everyday and was personalised to your taste. Only ever a few people in the dining area at one time, so high quality cooking for you. The staff amazing and not sure where they get their pastries from, but just delicious.

The only thing that we felt could be improved was the mattress on our bed. We'll sound like spoilt whingers. But it was incredibly hard compared to what we are used to. A definite upgrade would be nice along with some new pillows. As a Guest House, a 'Pillow menu' would be a fab touch in line with the rest of the wonderful experience.
