We were met by Dollie who could not do enough for us. The property is a little quirky with some amazing artwork but its style is authentic and lovely. Its not luxury, but more than comfortable and great value for money, would certainly use again and have recommended to friends. 20 minutes from airport and located in a lovely area with secure parking. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice cooked to order... highly recommend

Seems par for the course, that all hotels insist on really heavy duvets even in the height of summer, just a sheet would be fine, then could turn off Air-Con, but hardly worth mentioning...

Guest House was excellent. Beautiful environment. Fantastic room - very spacious. Secure, private parking provided. Very friendly atmosphere. All staff were exceedingly friendly and Guest House Manager, Sally, was just fantastic! Breakfast was marvellous and delivered with a smile. All dietary requirements were met. (Gluten/ Lactose free) Location was superb. Great views of the mountain Great walks in the neighbourhood. Beautiful view of the garden and pool. It was a delightful stay - An absolute gem. Thank you, Sally!! 😊

Very friendly guesthouse manager and helpful.

The sound travels from other rooms so it was quite disruptive when guests arrived after 11:00pm and then were talking loudly and unpacking until 1am. I do realize that this was an inconvenience for the staff as well though and I was impressed by how calmly staff handled rude guests.

Place very quiet and peaceful situated centrally you can go to cape town city centre and you can visit stellenbosch wine farms closer to Durbanville and tygervalley mall.

I chose the room on top and the place has a thatch roof and it was first time experience with thatch roof it irritated my sinus but the friendly owner gave me something to help the situation and some advice as to what to ask for and what to check when booking.

We loved the antiques, paintings and decorations. Keep in mind that this is a very old building and subsequently furnished accordingly -beautiful and stylish antique setting. Sally is the perfect hostess! Mindful, detailed and considerate

The outdoor area requires a bit of tidying up, perhaps with fake grass. But then again, it is the honeymoon suite and who wants to sit outside when on honeymoon! Being antique in many ways, the water sometimes takes time to reach the shower or bath. Limited milk supply though - not sufficient to service 4 cups of tea/coffee during the stay. Hairdryer in the room would be great although we received one on request

- Sally (Hostess) was very welcoming and attentive - close to Bellville golf club (although the delay in crossing the main road to get into the golf club due to the morning traffic and slow traffic light made me nearly miss my tee off - 2min drive turned into 20mins) - large comfortable bed

- no top sheet on bed (duvet only). Forgot to arrange one with hostess as most bnb's supply one

I liked everything about the place, especially the location. It was like a dream, it's clean and beautiful, very quiet too. I liked the bathtub, it's giving a classic movie. And the owner, her friendliness and energy, the way she welcomed us, it was beautiful. It really exceeded my expectations.

I wasn't aware about the stairs before we got inside the house, I'd say it isn't wheelchair friendly.

Guesthouse was exactly what I wanted. Location was great. We asked if we could collect a set of keys slightly earlier as we were playing golf. Staff was helpful, showed us all the important aspects to checking in and out. Pool is a bonus, even though we did not have time to spend around the pool. This will be the place I visit on my next trip to the Cape.

It was very peaceful. The artwork and vintage look is amazing. The staff is very friendly and when we needed something, they would be there in a heartbeat. The pool area was very nice. We could also take a walk to the mall and just enjoy the surrounding area. My partner and I truly enjoyed the weekend.

It would be even better to maybe have lounge chairs at the back for star gazing at night. Couples on the ground floor would enjoy that.

Cleanliness and Privacy. Internet speed as well. I will definitely stay there again and recommend highly. Safe neighborhood.
