Since there was ongoing major construction it should be communicated to the guest to avoid surprises

The farm lifestyle is superb including the location where the hotel is. You get to enjoy time with family without disturbances.

The dinner was a buffet but it didn't have enough variety interms of the meal eg there was only roast beef and fish, the bar facility need some stock, they didn't have shooters(Jageimeister, Amarula) and they also didn't have champagne and we were there to celebrate a special occasion as a family so we couldn't do this part in grand style.

It is a beautiful property, it is lush with the authentic old charm and quiet considering the great location close to where I wanted to be. The bar and restaurant is cozy and the outdoor area matches the ambiance.

The room was not exactly what I expected from the picture. It seemed smaller and the furniture was not all there that was in the picture. I questioned my hostess about this but she said that it was the room I booked. But did not look exactly the part

Great meals and comfortable bed, excellent quality linen.

Basin drain was blocked, water took ages to drain out. It rained and water was coming in between the wall and window frame in the bathroom. (someone has siliconed it, but the water still came through gaps) We just had to hope the bathroom would not flood into the bedroom. Luckily the storm passed.

The venue is gorgeous. It was comfortable and the staff were very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again. I arrived very late due to flight delays and the gates man ensured I feel safe. It was also my birthday. A friend planned something special with the staff and they were really helpful and made my time there special. Room service was great. The room I stayed was spacious and gorgeous.

Small things: The food at the restaurant was mostly delicious, however on the second morning they served buffet breakfast, everything was overcooked and they then did not offer a la carte option. But generally they were accommodating and food was fresh. I felt that the waiting staff needed more training. When sitting down some staff just put down the menu, not asking for if you wanted a drink for example. You had to call them and ask What's available. It's small details that just felt out of place in such a gorgeous setting.

Everything ! Peaceful close to various places of interest but out of the bustle. The staff - they were all amazing!

I came from Eastern Cape to attend my graduation, I requested an earlier than normal time check in, they agreed. When I arrived around 11am all the rooms were ready. The reception I received from Thatho was out of this world. The rooms were perfectly neat, big and spacious. The bathroom was big and clean, hot shower water. The atmosphere woooow,

I loved everything about River Meadow Manor

The property was great , green , beautiful rooms.

The location was difficult to get to after a heavy rain as the bridge leading to the property flooded so we had to wait for the water to subside at night and that wasn’t pleasant .

Most beautiful surroundings. Extremely large, comfortable room with a stunning bathroom.

Finding the reception in the dark was frightening - lighting and lit signage will go a long way! Hairdryers and even irons in the rooms are standard in Africa.

It's quiteness and peace I enjoyed

No bar fridge in some rooms I found that very discriminatory as its ensure food and beverages we bring are kept fresh .I was told they are only in the vip rooms.Thus a basic necessity . Room cleaned however some used sanitary pads and condoms found hidden in the drawers.but overall I was happy with my stay.
