The room was quite spacious, there was this fresh smell in the room and the facilities were on point. Will definitely book there again. There place is so serene I was able to meditate in the morning, outside. The food was tasty, the chef was also welcoming and very helpful. I had confused dates and I was accommodated quite quickly and in a professional manner. The guesthouse makes their own soaps and lotion and the cinnamon and rooibos smell was just perfect. The place offers a spa and also you have access to DSTV, Netflix, showmax and YouTube.

Everything was absolutely perfect

The chef is great, only ate the toasted sandwich with cheese, pesto and mushroom and the coffee is great, also the staff are the best ever!!! Always supportive and ready to assist me as the customer. This is my place of peace and serenity.

I think an extra blanket for the cold nights - temperature just dropped Just a suggestion but would you consider adding a sauna?

The facility was beautiful, cozy, room was a good size, well stocked and pleasantly clean. Staff was accomodating, friendly, smart and kind. The river was a cherry on the cake!! As well as how close it is to many surrounding restaurants etc.

The booking included free breakfast. We chose Sand River guest house for that particular reason above other lodges. But we were told breakfast was just cereal, coffee and toast and that if we wanted extras we had to pay extra R100 per person. I wouldn't mind that from the get go but i didnt like false advertisement of 'free breakfast' when it wasnt really a complete breakfast. Rather state that its an imcomplete or light breakfast.

I was very impressed with their attention to detail, my personal request for the room was done with care and at no extra cost. The staff are beyond friendly and accommodating. The room was just perfect, it was clean and tidy and very cozy. Even though we had a storm outside we barely noticed it. The bathroom is spacious and very clean. I love the small shampoo and shower gel bottles. The garden was so beautifully lush and green and it is so tranquil to go sit next to the river. It was truly an amazing experience for my boyfriend and I. We will most definitely be going back very soon. The price was also amazingly affordable and it really felt like we were no where near the city. I would recommend this guesthouse to each and every person i know.

Despite an error between the type of room booked on Booking.com compared to their system, they made every effort to provide the room as expected from the Booking.com confirmation. I really appreciated their efforts with this.

The fact that there was a discrepancy between what room was confirmed on Booking.com compared to what was confirmed on their system.

The nature around the Guest house. It was very clean with good breakfast.

The Charles guy he isn't friendly n doesn't know directions. Not fluent in English. Try to hire people who at least know 3 languages . English being one of them coz when there's language barrier you get frustrated a lot. More especially when you are in Tourist Industry

Nature. Our broken aircon was replaced by an oil heater. Thank you for that. Spacious bedroom and bathroom.

The shower door leaked. The bathroom window couldn’t close. It would be nice to have a shower mat.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Charles. He came to my rescue, charging my phone during load shedding.

The aircon was leaking on my head and the generator only powers the lights. In this day and age you need to be able to function as normal even during load shedding as a result it was uncomfortable not being able to use the aircon and inconvenient not to be able to use the iron or charge my phone.

The safe and tranquil environment. In addition the service was super & staff were helpful and friendly.

The AC wasn’t working properly. However a backup heater was provided.

Very safe and the staff were so friendly and supportive.

Some of the guests were talking to loud as seemed to not be aware of the need to help the place being a common quite for all, staff should be able to remind everyone of this need.
