We had a very special few days at this guest house. To say it felt like a home from home would be an understatement. We were lucky enough to overlap with a number of guests visiting long term from China and everyone got on so well; staff, guests and my children just loved the pool and garden and the freedom they enjoyed to roam and chat to everyone while I worked. My children still talk about Patience :-) ... "I want long hair like Patience when I grow up" and "Patience has the best name because she is so patient". Thanks Patience & team - we can't wait to see you all again. Thanks for making our few days stop off in Jberg so easy and fun and safe (and especially for playing with the children and answering their endless questions while I worked).

The only thing that caught us out a few times was food. It would have been great to organise breakfasts and dinners at the start of our stay as some days we were a little late to organise things as we didn't know cut off times etc.

Rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. There's WiFi, Dstv and a Kitchenette. Fridge had a supply of drinks to purchase and there's a few snacks too. Gardens are beautiful and the pool is fantastic. There's a generous breakfast menu to order the night before and the food was super served with a lovely cup of coffee. Bellgrove is in a very good area too.

This was a quick overnight stay with an early morning flight from Johannesburg. It is a beautiful property with beautiful gardens and a swimming pool. There were 2 other guests who stayed by the pool all day and it felt a bit intrusive to join them. We ate dinner at the property and it was good. The staff person was friendly and attentive to our questions.

It was a bit far from the airport. The property was not close to any shops and restaurants, and we walked about a mile to get some lunch. It was a nice area once we got there.

I have stayed in various places around Johannesburg during my South African trips for two last years, and this is my favorite. Amazing location, very chill and safe. Great staff, home feeling, good WiFi, good breakfast - our family stays here for the second time already, and if I’ll visit Johannesburg again, I will stay here again.

The pool is quite cold, but it is cold almost everywhere. And they offer no dinner, so you have to go out. Still not a big problem.

Breakfast was Very Good.

Furniture in the room needs attention. has burnt marks and damages which drops the standard of the accommodation.

The staff were very kind, willing to help and very accommodating. The property was exceptionally clean with all commodities. Additionally coffee was available with a safe and fridge, the sort of things one would not expect in a standard guesthouse. The compound was clean and tidy all the time.

There was no lunch or dinner option

The hotel is located in a beautiful and lush residential area. The room and the bathroom were so much larger than what we have expected. We had a balcony with the view to the pool which was a great bonus. Both the room and the common areas felt very cosy and we had great conversations with other guests staying in the hotel. We were pleased the hotel was offering not only breakfast but also dinner which saved us from going out. If we were to return to Joburg, we would definitely chose to stay there again.

Everything was great

The respond via email very fast ...they where friendly and everything was 100% I would definitely go there again over and over.. Food healthy and fast...the place is clean and their respond so fast even on their telephone

Bellgrove is situated in a quite part of Jo-burg, wel secured area amongst other buildings. Bellgrove is a big house and is utilized in a B7B setting with a nice living, and a diner room. Our food was excellent!!

Some rooms are rather small, and the parking place around the facility is not equiped for large cars. We had rented a pick up for our safari's and that was a bit of a hazzle but managed

Staff were incredibly friendly, communication leading up to check-in was very good. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

There were a few small things such as taps and handles a bit loose and a complimentary bottle of water would be great. But overall still a very enjoyable stay.
