Everything about the hotel impressed us , from the staff to our room . The breakfast was outstanding . We had dinner the one night in the hotel , my meal was excellent , regretfully my wife had the fish was a little chewey. In fact another guest also complained about the fish. But overall we were very impressed . Please stay as good as you are .

Located in the perfect spot, within walking distance of many highly-rated restaurants and convenience stores. The decor was nice and homely. The staff were so kind and happy to help, always. Fair amount of space in the rooms, with comfortable beds, a desk, and charging adaptors.

Extremely thin walls, to the point where a TV at normal volume was completely audible from our room, and normal-volume conversation was disturbing. The room doors were old, and the closing mechanism would not engage, leaving us to lock the door completely.

Staff was very friendly. Nice fireplace for the cold evenings. Was great to be able to also enjoy dinner at the restaurant even without prior notice. So you could decide on the day where you would like to go.

All was good - If I have to mention something. The shower took very long to get warm (I felt bad wasting so much water) and the water pressure was very low when the hot water was on.

Breakfast was nice but no variation in options. This can become boring after a couple of days. The waitress was very friendly and made us feel special. The room and bathroom is old and dark and the mattress was rock hard and very hard to sleep on. They were not able to replace it with another.

The beds and our room was next to the pool so it was quite noisy when guests were lying outside and swimming.

I had a wonderful stay at Oakhurst. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful (I arrived very late from Cape Town and they were very welcoming and understanding!). The rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean. The hotel is very central and close to several good restaurants as well as the mountain trails. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in George.

I did not know that we had to bring our own TV number with in order to watch TV as our room had a smart TV, This could have been explained in the blurb.

The staff were amazing, and so friendly. They made as feel so welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and the Hotel was well located in town.

The noise levels in the rooms. We could hear neighboring rooms through the walls quite a bit and unfortunately our room was in front of the parking lot. Other than that, we slept like kings as it was just a pit stop for us after a long day of traveling.

We were attending the George Old Car Show and the hotel was on the same road as the venue for the show which was really convenient. The staff were extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Especially Tiaan and Pinky. They were so happy to accommodate guests for any requests they had. My room had a lovely walk in shower and the aircon worked perfectly which was needed as it was very hot over the weekend. The rooms were very clean and the bed and linen were very clean and comfortable. The rooms were serviced everyday.

This is not really something I didn't like but more of a request. The breakfast was lovely but they had pork sausages, beef sausages and bacon. As I don't eat beef or pork it would be nice if they could swap one of those options for a lamb or chicken sausage. Besides that nothing.

Room was comfortable. Lounge area with fire was an added bonus. Nice breakfasts! Staff were very friendly and accommodating!

My room was 101 - was very noisy first thing in the morning. Do think the coffee could be improved!

Climbing the stairs with a suitcase was a bit awkward. I prefer a ground floor room. The floor was dusty in the bedroom and the bathroom. This was because of the thatched roof. The room was very noisy. Nearby clock chimes were very annoying.
