My room had everything I needed. It was adequately sized. Breakfast was phenomenal, and they even packed me a delightful breakfast for my long drive back home. They went above and beyond! The staff was always helpful and friendly, and tried to accommodate my needs. The location was also perfect. Central and close to restaurants, places I needed to visit for my trip and the beach.

Although I visited in winter, my room was very cold at times. The bathroom windows needed to be open at all times as there was no extractor fan. And with the cold winter wind, it made the room a lot colder. I could not reach the windows, so I couldn't open and close them myself. I also didn't want to ask a staff member to open and close it for me each time I used the shower. Other than that, my stay was perfect!

From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. The staff on check-in were fantastic, and went beyond accommodating. We explained to Lana that we would not be having breakfast on the first morning due to a race we were running, and we were immediately and totally unexpectedly offered an alternative, which started our stay in the most amazing way. The staff throughout our stay were incredibly friendly and helpful, and kudos to all of them. Our room was beyond our expectations, and we had a fantastic stay.

To be perfectly honest, nothing could have been better. It was simply a perfect stay.

I really loved the calm and serenity your hotel provided for me- much needed r&r on my side. Sounds crazy but my favourite part when we arrived was that the place was extremely clean (love this- deal breaker for me sometimes). and equally that it was a no smoking zone. (although to point out , i did see a few people vaping- not sure if the no smoking policy covers vaping as well. It should in my opinion). Food options were good, decent potions and not overly pricey which i appreciated. More subjective, but i loved that it was off season with minimal guests- just the right amount for me

I can't really say i didn't like anything and im not sure if further down there is a spot for suggestions but here goes: Maybe for winter add some torch heaters in the outside sitting area of the restaurant and pool area, will create a more cosy feel. Even a firepit in the pool lounge area could be good

Breakfast was superb, not buffet but selections from their menu to choose from. Location is where you want to be when on vacation even if it is a business trip. Secure parking. The room is spacious with tiny details lacking in most accommodations. Various plug points I would be staying here again when in Langebaan or the surrounding areas.

Poor and "dimmed" lighting. there is enough space for another suitcase stand, there is most likely more than one person staying in a room and not just at this establishment but everywhere, if provided, only one suitcase stand is provided and it is a struggle to either put the suitcase on the bed each morning or swap the two suitcases each morning.

We had a lovely overnight stay at the Windtown Lagoon, enjoying a delicious supper and superb breakfast. The accommodation was comfortable, and our rooms were close to the front gate which made it easy to take our suitcases etc inside. We appreciated the safe, underground parking for our car overnight. All the staff were friendly and helpful, but I'd especially like to commend Aya for his outstanding service, nothing was too much trouble for him to do, he is certainly a very likable young man and an asset to the hotel.

We were satisfied with the service we received for the short time we were there, so there isn't anything that we didn't like

I have stayed many times at Windtown and absolutely love it. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the charming little shops and the delightful gin bar. Plus, there are fantastic restaurants nearby, like Roxy's. The layout of the place is great, with a chill area and pool in the center. There's always relaxing music playing by the pool, and the pool bar serves excellent cocktails. The area is filled with bean bags and umbrellas, creating a perfect picture of relaxation. It's worth noting that the pool is heated by solar panels and is warm only during the summer months. They've recently added a sauna and spa, making it an even better spot to unwind!

I did not know about the pool and was looking forward to the warm water. We visited in June, a winter month.

What makes this hotel so great is the staff. Lana, Vicky, the tall, handsome guy at the front desk (cannot remember your name…sorry) and all the guys working in the restaurant. They make this hotel feel like home. Happy to help with any query you have and go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying your stay and have everything you need. Lana helped us out with a missing harness issue early one morning (a hotel guest had mistakenly taken my kitesurfing harness from the drying rack). Lana was quick to help us and fix the issue by offering to use a harness that belonged to the kite school attached to the hotel. Where they all showed so much care was when our dog died suddenly back in the UK, during our stay. We were distraught and they were just so kind and supportive…like family. For me, 5 stars are not earned by a hotel’s facilities or how amazing the pool, room or food is. For me it’s the staff, the service and care they provide and how they make you feel. 5 stars to Windtown for sure. Would not hesitate to recommend. We’ll be back next January

Breakfast was included in the cost of our stay, and the breakfast was truly phenomenal! And you get a "starter" and main breakfast, which is more than a lot of food, and it all tasted great! We had cocktails at the restaurant, which were not on the menu, but the staff still prepared them for us. They were delicious! For dinner, we ordered room service. Every bite was so tasty! The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and large, the water pressure was exceptional! (Which I consider important). The hotel offers underground parking, with an electric gate opened by your electronic room tag, although there is enough parking at the front of the hotel as well.

The "hot" water pool is not a heated pool. The water in the pool is warmer than you would expect, but still not heated as indicated.

We went in the heart of winter and enjoyed having our meals in front of the cozy fireplace. The staff is extremely friendly. I like the fact that you can take a very short walk to the lagoon.

I suggest extractor fans in the bathrooms....after taking a shower, the floor was wet. Opening the windows didn't help much either.

We were treated exceptionally well. Lana, and her staff assisted in arranging a romantic setup, including flowers, chocolates and hot chocolate as we arrived and celebrated our anniversary. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it has excellent facilities and services. Staff even managed to arrange for us to have our breakfast in our room. Breakfast was absolutely divine 10/10. We are most likely going to book again soon! Thank YOU windtown and staff - amazing experience and one for the books!

For a one night stay over, nothing really. However, if you do stay longer, perhaps the room could come with a microwave and some utensils?..
