This accommodation was a very pleasant surprise! It is tucket away among trees that must have been there for decades which made it feel if one is in the middle of a forest. Because of its location (away from the beach - where we usually stay), we saw, and got to appreciate, a completely different part of Gqebergha that we probably would never have experienced. The reception by Alan was very welcoming. And during our stay, the Tania even asked if she can provide us with a heater, or anything else that we may need. That was very kind of Tania in my opinion. All I can say is: stay at L'auberge - you will not be disappointed!

We enjoyed the peaceful forest like feel with modern finishes. The room has a very comfortable bed, a double shower and the rusks for morning coffee was a yummy surprise ... the photos on the website are accurate but when you get there its a million times better ... the quiet forest atmosphere makes relaxing so easy ... if you need to escape the city stress and forget about life for a while this is definitely the place to stay ... waking up to hear birds singing and seeing the soothing green of the trees is a true delight ... brilliant value for money ... we will definitely be returning here and have already started referring them to my family ... our expectations were far far far exceeded ...

Amazing stay! So secluded and yet it has modern comforts. It is almost like glamping! We staid in one of the smaller rooms. Tania our host was so attentive to our needs. We took some extra battery operated lights for loadshedding and some bug spray for those lovely sunset evenings outside. The room had a few great essentials like basic utensils, a lovely fan, towels, basic toiletries, coffee making facilities and a mini fridge. The outside communal kitchen has a gas stove which was perfect for loadshedding coffee time. The shower was lovely and definitely had enough light. There are little windows above the normal windows without curtains, but we wore eye masks which worked great! We will definitely be back!

We loved everything.

My wife and I came here for a quiet retreat before we crossed over into the new year. Our host was very accommodating - They called to follow up on our arrival time and were prompt to open the gate upon our arrival. The venue is a few minutes (25 odd minutes from Summerstrand / Airport ). Well located should you still want to go meet up with friends in the area or do some shopping. Word to the wise - - Try keep driving to a minimum as it can get misty at night. Everything was perfect, the house was clean, well sized. On the property there is also a large Lapa with a kitchen and a Boma (Fire pit). Perfect get-away to reconnect as a couple as it allows for uninterrupted conversations right in the middle of nature. The lily pond was gorgeous - sure do wish it was a pool instead :-). Breathtaking beauty. An absolute gem of note ! We surely will be visiting again. 10/10.

Nothing to complain about.

Lovely getaway in PE, with good facilities inside the chalet and the Lapa. We loved the nature element, saw squirrels and monkeys, bird calls surround you 24/7. It's truly a nature getaway!! The host is wonderful, providing ample detail and the chalet has housekeeping daily, milk, coffee and tea supplies, a mini fridge and ample bathroom amenities. Highly recommend for the price and service!

The location is quite a drive from shops, so I'd recommend you stock up on food supplies beforehand.

I absolutely liked everything that Lauberge had to offer us. The bush environment was exceptional, clean and safe. We really enjoyed the real contact with nature, the tranquil and birds singing. Tania was amazing with her warm attitude, friendly smile and exceptional customer service.

The location was awesome and it was so peaceful to have breakfast out on the deck, tucked in the trees and listening to the birds.

The shower is pretty dark - luckily we brought a rechargeable clip on light, so we used that for more light. The windows at the top have no blinds or curtains, so we were unfortunately woken by the sun much earlier than we wanted. It would also be nice if there were cleaning things to do the dishes.

We're from PE, but just wanted to get 'away' for a night. It was absolutely amazing. We felt like we were nice and remote. Our little family had a great time. Hosts were absolutely amazing and welcoming. Thank you Tania and Al.

The ONLY thing we didn't like was that the sofa bed mattress was very thin, but it is understandable for a fold out couch.

Wow! My partner and I loved the place. It is cozy and warm as we visited in winter time. The kitchen and lounge area were neat and cosy. We loved the surroundings of beautifully organised trees. The owners were very welcoming and made sure that we had everything that we needed. We felt safe. We will definitely go back.

I loved the sound of birds chirping, trees creak as they rub together, the complete privacy and the coziness of our cottage. L'auberge Country Hideaway is indeed a hideaway and a true wonder. The forest vibes looked like a picture out of a book. I'm so glad we chose this establishment to celebrate our wedding anniversary ❤️ Thank you to Tania and Alan for the amazing service.
