Our recent stay at Brighton Lodge was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks largely to the incredible hospitality of our host, Claudette. From the moment we arrived, Claudette’s warm and welcoming nature set the tone for a truly memorable visit. Her natural gift for hosting shines through in every interaction—it’s evident she was born for this role. The lodge itself is an absolute gem. Tastefully decorated with elegant fixtures and thoughtfully chosen furnishings, every corner exudes charm and sophistication. The ambiance perfectly captures a sense of tranquility and calm, ideal for relaxing and unwinding. Brighton Lodge’s location is simply unbeatable. Nestled in a peaceful setting, it’s surprisingly just a short stroll away from the bustling beachfront, vibrant restaurants, the lively Boardwalk Mall, and various charming shops. You truly get the best of both worlds—serenity and convenience combined. Breakfast each morning was delightful—beautifully presented, full of variety, and the perfect start to our day. Claudette enhanced the experience through her genuine interest in ensuring guests enjoyed their meals and their stay, offering valuable insights and excellent recommendations on local attractions, must-visit sites, and hidden gems around the area. Had a great stay! The staff were exceptional and super helpful. Rivonia and Claudette went far and beyond to make sure our stay was great. The room was lovely, and the location was perfect—close to the beach and a shopping mall. Breakfast was delicious, and they made sure to accommodate my vegan diet.

The only downside was that the kitchen trash hadn’t been emptied, and there were eggs in it, which made it smell a bit.

The breakfast was delicious. Claudette went above and beyond asking what we liked and how we liked our eggs cooked. A very welcoming set up as well. Claudette was so welcoming it felt like we were staying with an old friend. She told us a better way to get to Addo and a place to stop along the way for snacks.

The driveway where we parked was a bit tricky. It’s a driveway set up we are not used to using or working with. With the guidance from Claudette it was a breeze to use.

Great location. Pool, room was cute 'shabby chic', secure parking, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Courtyard is beautiful, private. Nice little kitchen in the room. Well thought-out mini bar. Good wine in the room.

In the room we were in (they are all different), it seemed like there was more furniture than the room could really hold. Part of the look, I suppose... mattresses seemed like they were perhaps a bit tired.

The hosts were really helpful. They went above and beyond for us - offering to make us a sandwich when the restaurants were all closed in the evening. We felt very safe in the accommodation and would recommend to anyone.

The atmosphere was very good with nice places to relax outside, by the pool and in the shade. Very good breakfast. The staff gave us good tips on things to do and not to do. Car parking just outside our room.

An absolutely charming place that I can highly recommend. The location is very good in a quiet area close to the beach and some nice restaurants. The lush courtyard with the pool is a small oasis perfect for relaxing. The interior reminds me of an English country home. Claudette in the reception was very helpful and arranged for a guided tour of Port Elizabeth.

The lodge is very charming, the breakfast is very good, the location is excellent, and the way the staff, specially Claudette, treated us was amazing. Very helpfull and simpatic!

The property was super clean and comfortable. The room was really spacious. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite the cold our daughter adored the pool!

This is a fantastic place…. lovely clean spacious rooms beautifully appointed. Nice pool area, comfortable lounge, good parking, really lovely welcoming and helpful staff in a good area not too far from the main attractions.

Can’t think of anything I didn’t like- well maybe the frog in the tree outside my room who was noisy but that just adds to the charm!
