The peace and quiet was absolutely the best. Perna Perna has been around for years and I remember the lodge since childhood in the 90s. Staff are really friendly and helpful. If you need anything, just ask and they will assist with a smile. Office is open 7 days a week should you need any more help. The balcony overlooking pool made for such a peaceful ambience, beautiful view. At night the bush babies hopped from tree to tree, something truly special at St Lucia. Lock up garage with space for fishing rods. Aircon, dstv, WiFi and inverter backup power, fully fitted kitchen and backup water tank ensuring guest comfort. Best braai facilities which is cleaned on a daily basis. We really loved our stay. Thank you Perna Perna!

There is nothing negative to report other than the fact that we had to say goodbye eventually.

Most of it.

The ceiling fan in the unit ground floor only worked on max speed. Was forced to park in the narrow covered parking of unit number 6 because the unit 6 guest was not able to maneuver his bakkie into it, and parked in our parking. It was not a big issue, but was inconvenient nonetheless. The after hours number when called, returned "the number does not exist" on the day we checked in. Internet speed was good, but kept disconnecting every now and then. TV was very small.

The pool was lovely. Everything was neat and tidy. The daily housekeeping did a good job. Overall, we had a good experience.

There is only 1 air-conditioner in the main bedroom upstairs. The ceiling fan in the 2nd bedroom and in the lounge did little to relieve us from the heat. The wifi did not connect at all, but we had brought our own in case.

Our chalet was very comfortable and clean, it had everything we needed. Main bedroom has an air conditioner that you load units on. R50 was more than adequate for our three night stay. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs with a bath and shower and another bathroom downstairs with a shower. Our unit was close to the pool and play area but still private. (Units 2 to 7 are around the pool area and play area.) Pool area is stunning and securley fenced off. The property is equipped with inverters so you have lights and TV during load shedding. The staff kept us up to date with the schedule and messaged us with any changes. Perna Perna is very close to town and we were able to take a easy walk to the shops and restaurants. Felt very safe and secure. The staff, Cindy and Debbie were friendly and very helpful. Our unit was cleaned daily and we enjoyed our stay there.

Parking is a bit tight. Some units have garages and some have undercover/open parking. If you have a bigger vehicle it can be very tight in the garages, so maybe request a unit with an open parking.

We stay at Perna Perna Lodge over Christmas with two small kids and the place was lovely, very conveniently placed on the main road with all shops and restaurant being close enough to walk. The pool and play area were lovely and the kids absolutely loved it. It was great to have the unit serviced daily.

Nothing that can really be done, but parking bay are tight

Rooms every open Parking are safe Even if u checked in after trading time but u will find ur room clean and neat

They need to upgrade that automatic gate locked or opened...someone will just came in and shoot someone and drive out although its helpful to those who came late to checked in...I think Find something like a box hide it next to the gate infom gest about it to pick his or her key back there when it time to check out

The friendliness of everybody working at PernaPerna was remarkable. We felt quite at home. The location is great and within walking distance to restaurants, the jetty and everywhere else one wants to be. Clean, comfortable accommodation.

The Harley club meeting which unfortunately fell on the same weekend we were there. That is not a location issue however. Just our bad luck. They made a lot of noise.

The peace and quiet. The close approximaty to the amenities like the boat cruise, massage palour and restaurants, really nice and amazing.

I didn't like the fact that I had to wrestle the monies out of the apartment because when we were loading bags in the cars monkies kept wanting to go to the apartment and after depositing the key one monkey opened the window and went inside but a guy helped us to Romove it from the apartment. Hectic!!!

The lady at reception was quite rude because I had made a last minute booking and Booking.com allowed it. She claimed the place was full and the system shouldn’t have allowed me. She literally refused to give me the keys for a good 10-15 minutes, she said she wouldn’t give me a refund coz she never took my money, the system did. After some time when she saw that I was refusing to leave she ended up giving me the keys and showing me to my room. She was very unprofessional and rude about it. She did come along nicely though after that incident and she was all smiles till we left.

We liked the fan, we liked the place was huge enough, the location from beach and from the shops were near, the place was neat, the service from the people who worked there was amazing. We will definitely come back next time. 🙂
