The reception was terrible, the ladies at the reception were rude and couldn’t take our hours when we arrived at the lodge because I couldn’t comfirm my coming over the phone and mistakenly took room 4 instead of 3 because it was locked. I understand as a customer i was wrong nit to confirm my booking abd paying the balance before checking in but they should have pickec the phone abd communicated with me about my mistake and try yo resolve the matter with me than just ti ignore me

I would highly recommend St Lucia Palms for anyone seeking quality and comfortable accommodation that doesn't break the bank. We arrange that we would like to check in around 12 and when we arrived we had no troubles at all. We paid our breakage deposit cash (R500) and received the kets to our apartment. The place is spacious and can easily accommodate a family of 4. Everything was clean and so comfortable - home away from home. We went to the beach early the following morning and when we arrived back the cleaners moped the floors and washed + packed away our dishes. The parking is good and secured. Nice braai area with a conformable garden table/ bench on the patio. Air-conditioning in the main bedroom and ceiling fans in the living room and spear-room. Everything is clean and well maintained. The manager was so friendly and recommended a few good places to visit along with where we would be able to see the popular hippos that travel through the town. Upon checkout we received our R500 deposit back. And asked if we had a good stay. No we didn't have a good stay. We had an absolutely AMAZING stay !! Loved everything !

I got upgraded to a two room flat. You can easily self cater, shops are close by, and/or enjoy the restaurants. Availability of staff. Every day cleaning. Own outside terrace. Located on the main street, easy to explore the town centre on foot. Easy check in and check out. Staff can help book activities.

If anything then trafic noise from the main street but to be expected on a main street.

The accomodation was complete. Everything you needed was included. Open kitchen and everything else you could need for basic self catering. That, plus they clean the place (including doing the dishes) up for you every single day.

2 minor inconveniences -windows were glass panes that didn't seem to close very well. No problem with the temperatures. -the cooking plate was put in backwards, so when you turned on the heat for the left front, it would start the heating plate on the right in the back, so that was weird..

Evrything was good about the place n the workers are friendly

The place had the breakage fee of R700 and they cannot give u a key without breakage fee. What i ddnt like is that they took soo long to give back my breakage fee back .I visited the place on the 4th and i got my deposit an the 28th ☹️

The rooms were clean and comfortable, there was an eco aircon in the bedroom which you could buy units for. The braai on the little balcony was very convenient and cleaned every morning. The kitchen was stocked with all crockery and cutlery you'd need. Rooms were cleaned daily.

The pool was a bit smaller than I thought, but we spent most our time at the beach so it did not matter.

The place is cool. They manage both flamingo and st lucia palms, personally i like more flamingo. When we arrived to palms there were a group making really loud noise and the manager changed us to flamingo instead. There were not their fault these clients were really annoying and they even had to call the security

House is big , the rooms look to the swimming pool so if people is usong it maybe you hear the noise

The apartment was absolutely beautiful, it had a fully furnished kitchen, with Toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge and everything needed to self cater and cook... towels and toilet paper was given every day with housekeeping.

The sofa was okay.. It would be nice if it was more comfy. A Tea/coffee station would also be nice

Good location. A nice lock up and go flat. Easy to navigate the area and accomodation wih the handy booklet in the room.

We stayed on the second floor and there is no balcony so we had to leave the front door open to get in enough airflow during the heat. Other guests were playing loud music until early hours of the morning on the Saturday night.

Excellent location. Siyabonga jetty (if you take a boat cruise to see hippos) is about 6/7 minutes walking. There are plenty of restaurants, groceries just around the location where you can simply walk to. The rooms were good with the required facilities.

Given the frequent power cuts in South Africa, the owners should arrange for some power back up to help operate the air conditioning at night. We did get regular intimations on whatsapp as to when the power outages were expected to happen, but knowing that is not very helpful if such a thing occurs at night when you need to be sleeping in the room. Given that we travelled in late December, when the weather was warm and sultry, this would have been helpful.
