I had such a great stay at the Santa Lucia Guest House. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home. The room was clean, comfy, and had such a cozy vibe to it—perfect for a relaxing getaway. I loved waking up to the peaceful surroundings, and the breakfast each morning was amazing, with fresh local ingredients. The place is in a great spot—quiet and private but still close to everything you might want to check out. I definitely left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a chill and welcoming place to stay.

The guesthouse is located quite in the center of Santa Lucia, a touristic enclave in South Africa. The guesthouse is an old colonial house which offers much comfort. Rooms are spacious, clean and the property has a nice well cared garden. The bathroom was clean, air condition was working well. There has been an international plug converter for foreign plugs. The owners of the guesthouse seem not to live at this house, but there is staff who cares about the place and makes the bookings. Shea-Lynn was very friendly and helpful with different things at our stay. She told us about the restaurants in that region, tours and possible excursions. The breakfast was a buffet of different tasty things, we enjoyed it quite much. There was also an laundry service, which could be used for money.

Room was spacious and everything was very clean. There were restaurants and shops within a short walking distance. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We went on 2 trips they organised for us which were really good. We would definitely recommend this place to others and if we ever stay in St Lucia again we will stay here.

Beautiful house perfectly located in the middle of the village and yet quiet. Phillip is the perfect host who will assist you with everything you need and more. Delicious breakfast on the terrace, prepared and served by extremely friendly and helpful staff. Comfy beds. We stayed 3 nights during our tour to recover from the busy program of Kruger and eSwatini and then continue to the Garden route. Thank you for the memorable time!

Eileen and Philipp and the whole staff are amazing people! We loved to chat and listen to them. They gave our trip a warmth hug. The room was beautiful, large, with good beds (!) and absolutely quiet. The small pool just right to have a refreshment after a hot, humid day.

Everything was really fantastic, especially the self-made muffins, fruit salad by (unfortunately I forgot her name).

Such a welcoming, homely house with beautiful gardens and decor... a real home. The breakfast was lovely, manager was so helpful in booking our river cruise and discount for restaurants and they are just opposite the park where the hippos come to graze at night! Lovely room, bath and bed.

The room was lovely - only that we experienced some noise from the room next door when they took a shower/bath - the plumbing in the walls (or something) was a bit noisey after we had already gone to sleep.

A wonderful place to stay. It's very peaceful but also very close to walk to the restaurants and shops. The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly. The team helped to book activities. Breakfast is really excellent and plentiful. Look out for the local hippos that come out to graze in the park next door at night!

I loved everything about it. The location was perfect. So near to the Isimangaliso wetland park and the city. The staff were amazing and so helpful and accommodating. The place is neat and clean and there is a back entrance to rooms so you are welcome to come in and out as you please. We really enjoyed our stay.

The property was very well managed and the people were warm and friendly. The host went over and above to make us comfortable and they were reachable.

There were minor issues due to load-shedding and bad weather conditions where we were left without water and electricity but they were sorted out by the owners.
