The staff were exceptional and professional. The beds were so comfy. The facilities in the room were exceptional and the view from the room was just spectacular. The breakfast was terrific and extremely tasty. The spa was just terrific, and was one of the best massages we have ever had. The spa facilities was definitely top notch! Will definitely be back for the spa!

Only thing was when we arrived, no porter helped us with the luggage even though I could see people at the reception. No one opened the front door till they saw me struggling with trying to open and then push my luggage through, as the doors are quite heavy. But they made up for it, as he took us round for a tour of the premises to help us orientate ourselves.

The high voltage wires that cross part of the hotel parking lot and golf course. The location is not the best, just on the start of Stellenbosch.

There has been significant thought into the design of this establishment to cater , particularly, for families with small - teenage children. Family establishments, that also cater for adults ( including wonderful wine tasting and the like) are somewhat rare these days. Overall from the room, view, service and activities - it was a very good experience. Will come again.

We stayed as a family of four ( 2 adults , and 2 kids under 6). The pull out couch bed was as uncomfortable - and needs to be looked at. Some of the food option we chose were mediocre ( charcuterie board for example was underwhelming ). But these are teething issues to resolve in time - which overall did not dilute our experience to such a degree of a major complaint.

Great hotel. Clean. Manicured surroundings. Very helpful and friendly staff - especially during the pressurised moments before an event. They really rose to the occasion. Loved the wine in the room on arrival. The chairs by the TV were very comfortable and it was great to just curl up and have a movie night. Love that you can cast your device to the TV.

We were there for a wedding, and the grounds where the wedding was were still open to the public. So extra eyes on a private event, and people (the general public) using the location to take pictures after the ceremony, whilst the place still had the ceremony decorations. The room would be an EXCELLENT R4000 per night room, but definitely VERY OVER-PRICED at R7000 per night. The hot breakfast could be better - very lacklustre. I didn't eat much on the 2nd morning as it was that disappointing.

This was an absolutely awesome experience - Willem, the Guest Relations Manager was just brilliant. He had booked our massages, arranged a Happy Birthday sign, with balloons and champaign for my wife's 50th birthday - she was just so impressed with this - thanks Willem. And that's not all, Willen also arranged a picnic in the gardens, where we were spoilt with breakfast treats and mimosa's. This is one of the best experiences we have ever had at a wine farm. Loved the design, layout, cleanliness, and above all - the best hospitality ever. Well done guys - simple amazing.

Everything was amazing! Beautiful hotel with amazing artwork. The room was very spacious, clean and luxurious, with a balcony and seating. Very comfortable bed with beautiful crisp linen. So many beautiful spaces in the hotel itself. Reading room, screening room, cigar lounge, all decorated beautifully. The service from all the staff in the hotel, in the restaurants, the spa and management was exceptional. Stunning surroundings with lots to do if you choose to. The food in the hotel as well as on the farm was incredible. The most beautiful spa in the hotel, had one of the best massages ever. A very relaxing and wonderful weekend. Will definitely return!

We loved our stay at stay at The Hazendal Estate! Rooms are beautifully decorated and the restaurant serves delicious food. Staff is also very friendly and professional, we felt like royalty everytime we came across staffmembers everywhere on the premesis. There are also a lot of activities at the hotel, also for kids. Our kids really loved Wonderdal and the putting park was also a big hit. The location for us was also very convenient as it is nicely located between Cape Town, Paarl and Franschhoek.

Upon arrival you can't miss the truly huge electricity poles which really detract from the otherwise beautiful surroundings of the hotel but I suppose the hotel can't do much about this. Breakfast and dinner were delicious but for us maybe even a bit to sophisticated as we had 2 kids aged 5 and 8 with us. Maybe a bit more "basic" menu options for kids would improve the overall experience even more.

This property cannot be beaten when it comes to its amenities, service, staff and beautiful grounds. As a frequent traveller I can say this is one of the best properties I have stayed at. The staff’s attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile really make it feel like a home away from home. It’s amazing that they manage to provide the best service in all their offerings from food to the spa everything was excellent!

The rooms were immaculate, fresh flowers in our room every day. The staff went above & beyond to help us. We had some ticket issues & they made every effort to sort it out for us even though they hadn’t booked in for us. The pool is beautiful & food very good.the spa was amazing & I had a fantastic facial & massage. Great facilities for families

It has a kids club, which we didn’t realise therefore there were children playing around the pool, lovely but could get quite noisy. Not an adults only hotel.

Neat and modern property well maintained and lots of focus on eco friendly ideas.

Perhaps the doors to rooms should have a catch to prevent it banging shut quickly. Screening room should have option of snack box instead of just popcorn in a bowl. Screening room should also be made accessible to more at the same time. If the limit is 12 then allow that amount per screen time. With perhaps kid friendly movies ending at 8 and then followed by a grown up movie from 8 onwards. Schedule of set movies can be advertised outside screen door and online via tv or reception.
