Yes very roomy, comfortable and interesting. A mini fridge full of free options to enjoy. Portia, our host was amazing 10/10 Breakfast was amazing and such a beautiful garden to enjoy it in.

Maybe a couple of fuller pillows to lean up against in bed. A Friday night stay was probably a bit noisy most of the night tho once we knew that the park across the way is allocated for recreational use then we understood the singing and shouting still at 3.30am. Maybe some More photos up of the history of the buildings and families. I would like to have seen a pic of the long bath talked about on the wall.

The history of the building and property dates back to 1820. I love staying in places that have so much history. The rooms are big with high ceilings and all the amenities for you to enjoy. They provide cooldrinks in your fridge at no extra cost. A Nepresso coffee machine with 2 pods. Lovely places to sit under the shade of the trees. It has a pool and even a pear tree that dates back to 1826 (not edible). The lady on duty, Lisa ..was fantastic and a gem. So..lovely stay and very central.

Only complaint was the noise on the street as it was a weekend (Sunday night) but by 9pm it was quiet again. This is no fault of the Beckhuis as I still enjoyed my stay.

I recently stayed at Beckhuis and what a treat it was. This place surprised us as we were only looking for a place to stay overnight for a wedding in Rawsonville. And even though it was a bit of a drive to and from the wedding venue, we did not mind. The reception and overall service by the manager, Portia, was the cherry on the proverbial cake. She is really a gem and I hope she gets all the recognition she deserves. She made us feel at home from the moment she received us and orientated us for us to settle in, up until the morning she served breakfast. Another surprise was the complimentary wine, which Portia explained, is for their special guests, because that's how they roll, they value their guests :).

The location is not that great, but once through the gates you do not really see the surroundings.

what is there not to like at this fantastic Guest House. We arrived half an hour earlier and we were accommodated immediately. The location is right next to Hussers Steak House and in the centre of Worcester. Refreshments in die fridge (wine, water and cool drinks were on the house. Very spacious rooms. This is a historical building (1840's) - so beautiful. Aircon in the room because it can get very hot in Worcester. Safe parking. And the breakfast (included in the rate) was to die for. Best breakfast I had in a long time. If you visit Worcester, this is your home away from home. I will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality and friendliness.

Can't think of one thing that I did not like. It is extremely good value for money to stay at this guest house. They also have the full channel options for DSTV.

I have been staying at Beckhuis for more than a year just about twice a month. What I love about Beckhuis is Portia, manager and hostess. She makes you feel welcome and like family from your very first stay. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and always does everything with a smile and great energy. Hussar Grill is in walking distance from the property, thus very convenient. Rooms are always clean and elegant. Breakfast is lovely and served with a smile.

Inside parking is always a problem. If you do go out at night, one very often end up parking outside the property as all parkings have been taken. Can also be noisy till late at night (week days and on week-ends) due to people drinking alcohol and playing loud music (partying) at the public park and in their cars parked around the park aross the road.

I travel extensively and make use of BnB's frequently. This was, in my opinion, the absolute best I have ever stayed in. Why do I say that? I have a passion for history and Beckhuis fits that perfectly. It is an Cape Dutch home that has been perfectly restored and repurposed for housing guests. In terms of facilities, it suited my needs to the tee. It was, in fact, a privilege to work under the shade of the large Californian Rose Apple tree. Stunning. The breakfast that I had included 'mosbolletjie' French toast...yummy. I wish I stayed closer to enjoy that every weekend. The best of all about the Beckhuis was the staff. The manager, Portia, is amazing and personifies the standard of how to treat guests. Nothing was too much for her and she went out of her way to cater to my requirements. Thank you Portia...you really are a star as is the rest of your team. If you are travelling to Worcester, for business or pleasure, this is the ONLY place to stay. Thank you once again.

It’s the second time we stayed at Beckhuis and we really enjoyed it. The property is quite big, with a pool and a very nice and spacious garden. There are two+ buildings, the garden is in the middle. So you don’t even realize that there could be more guests as it is all well spaced out. The room we stayed in was on the smaller side, but it was very neat, crisp white bedding, aircon and the bathroom is spacious. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the ginger biscuits are delicious and the breakfast is nice. We loved staying here!

I informed Beckhuis that we will only arrive after 1800 for check-in. They confirmed that it's not a problem and they are waiting for us. When we arrived, we were well received by Portia. She is friendly and you feel at home. She showed us how to use the security gates, and if we want to order from uber eats. The breakfast the next morning was amazing. My omelet I ordered was delicious and much better than the one I had last week in a Sandton Hotel.

The place itself was just amazing! So beautiful, from the moment you walk into reception. The room was everything and more that we wanted! Just what you need. Our host was so friendly en helpfull, had a great time there. Wish we had stayd 2 nights. Our room looked out on the swimming pool and the outside area was mesmerizing! Not to talk about that breakfast - Delicious!! We will definitely be back.
